Do your best and forget the rest
Really good advice I was so impressed
My son Scottie is now a different lad
Perhaps my years are piling up
Wondering how many I have left
His mum left us in '99
A loving mum to my son and wife to me
Twenty-two years ago... so sad
Son Scottie and I have never recovered

Son Scottie makes the best tacos ever
Drooling is a good word to describe my eating habits
Really sloppy to eat
This mouth-watering treat
Clothes are washable, I munch like a hungry rabbit

Each crescent moon rewinds time’s notes
and sweeps me back to our blessed haven
where long has stayed my peaked presence.
I would love to be back in our cozy cabin
where we grew magical feelings of happy.
All of our shared yesterday seconds
were love expressed while money distressed
and both such ways were my life’s best days.
We could barely afford a potty when on our
first anniversary you wrapped a Scottie puppy
inside an old jalopy that was red bow capped.
A car some might call shoddy mapped our
love in endless feelings of freedom's happy.
Tonight’s moon knows our fiftieth anniversary
soon comes, it poses then my life will be done
and with Scottie, you will greet me in our old jalopy.
I have long prayed to regain our embracing love
within Heaven's divine feelings of happy.

Next to the definition of “brat” in the dictionary
Is a picture of son Scottie dressed like a fairy
Gonna show him what I wrote
Probably hide my toy boat
Or might even put a squiggly thing in my sherry

Been blessed with an amazing son Scottie
Forgive me for being a homer and kinda cocky
He's not really classy
But sure loves the lassies
Lassies love him back, cause he's ever so naughty

Everyone has those days that aren't stellar
Noticed lately, Scottie ain't a happiness feller
Always jovial and happy
Lately not very chatty
Hope he recoups and his mood gets better

Got a son
His name is Scottie
Am I proud, you better believe it
My shining star
My confidant
How proud? You couldn't conceive it
Growing up
Problems quite few
Turned out to be much as expected
A computer guru
With in-born smarts
Trying so hard to be objective
Guess I'm not
Being very successful
At hiding my love for my Scottie
Hope he meets up with
A pretty young thing
One just a little bit naughty
Some folks say
He's a replica of me
Imagine that's quite possibly true
Body shape's similar
Same zest fot life
His sense of humour's similar too
Bias? Perhaps!
More than a little
Not everyone's as lucky as me
To have a son who
Turned out like Scottie
As proud as a daddy can be!
