Visceral
I don’t want to be Sati
I am not Savithri
Neither am I a ‘WIFE’
Who gets locked within me.
The love and lust were a voyage
When I enjoyed each moment
The fragrance of sindhoor and musk
Surrounded us, to wherever we flew.
The radiance is gone and fragrance is lost
Yet the heart yearns for a new picture
The bones hanker for a mate
A different name, shape and face
I shall live to the fullest of my soul
I shall love till I reach the horizon
I am waiting, praying and wishing
For you, my special friend- still unclear.

The revolutionary
The revolution germinated in my womb,
The tenderness and care never negotiated.
The external pressures never an obstacle,
The birth of the world’s most beautiful era bloomed.
Came the dawn of surprises after a storm,
The ship swayed hither to thither.
The fight and insurrection had already begun,
The world’s most beautiful and the strongest life was born.
The trunk was burned and she just witnessed,
Holding the hands of the needy and the swayed.
Detached yet focused, marching to the goal,
With slogans and spirits high she bore in her heart.
Sheltered was she, but the discontent seeped out,
In an urge to reach the pinnacle of the dream,
Reminders and warnings kept she to herself,
To be the spectator and observer of her own play.

Dream
I took your hands into mine with a gaze
You smiled and murmured,
“I will not go, and why hold so tight?”
I let you go loose with a cautious look.
Though happy and blissful jiffy
Scared was I of the evading scene.
Will the time come grabbing you from me?
But stayed you till the end with me.
Rang the alarm eclipsing my soul
Dropping me to the world without you.
Realized did I, the biome of mine,
All alone but just with your memories.
Piercing is my soul, with a sharp dagger
Driving I am in the palanquin of grieve.
Beckons me the responsibilities you bestowed
Beholds and harnesses to this secluded world.
Bewildered I am to transcend;
Elated I am to live in the old bygones
The treasure troves of memories of you and us
That heaven have endued on us

The Encounter
My heart longs to breathe in your arms; what can I say, I wish to live a few moments more. May the rose given in desire never fade, may your life never fade, rose. Now the morning will be the procession of memories, now the evening will be, or the night will come to take an encounter... Love you Sandy.

The Dance of Poems
The poems dance is very unique,
They dance in their own special way.
Not the normal dance, they leap and prance
To a tune, merry and gay
As they swirl, the page is lit up
With colors like yellow and red
The words and dance always
Remain inside your head
As the words rise and fall
Keeping with the beat
They move their arms freely
Spinning on their tiny feet
Poems dance like you and me,
And if you try with all your might,
You could just make a poem dance
All you have to do is write

Cleansing of body and mind- the Indian Way- An Alouette
For any Hindu
Bathing in Sindhu
Or Ganga thought to be pure
On fetes, on deaths
Tilak on foreheads
To meditate for mind’s cure
Indian Brahmins
In temple domains
Recite mantras while bathing
Then a marjanam
Followed by japam
Trikal Sandhya with chanting
============================
Sindhu and Ganga – the names of rivers of India
Marjanam means- Sprinking water around to purify the place.
Japam means - chanting of the Goddess Gayatri Mantras
Trikal Sandhya means- Tri means three times. Kal means time and Sandhya meaning
controlling the breathe as we do in Yoga.
Sandhya means- meaning “UNION” of day and night dawn and dusk, noon is considered
the third juncture of the day, and hence meditations and prayers are performed daily three
