Premium Member Hear Me Jesus

Inspired by a poem written by Eileen Manassian entitled "Will You Let Me"
Which I encourage everyone to read. Thank You.

Hear me Jesus I beseech you
As I fall on bended knees
All I've got, I have been given
Bless me once more if you please

I want to share with all the others
Those who have the eyes to see
All my sisters and my brothers
Those special gifts you gave to me

I want you to penetrate my heart
I willfully offer you my soul
To do the things that you have done
Everywhere that I may go

Chorus
Let your Love conquer evil, as of course, I know it will
Bless the race that I must run
With a mission to fulfill

Instrumental

I need the strength every day,
Only you can provide
It's by this I know you're with me
And I need not run and hide

I know this world paints a picture
Of hopelessness pain and fear
I will always love your word
And hold your sacrifice so dear

Chorus
Let your Love conquer evil, as of course, I know it will
Bless the race that I must run
With a mission to fulfill

Breakaway

Feel like being alone today
Needed the loneliness and emptiness
Just moments to let sway
To feel broken… lifeless and soulless

I wanted the feeling of innocence
I wanted to be naive and incomplete
The knowing of what to do in absence
To feel vulnerable and weak

I needed a break from…
All that I know and all that I wish
I don’t want to feel belong
As well of anything embellish

I am tired of life
Weary of how it’s being sold
Never enough to just survive
And only do as told

Felt like being alone tonight
To break away from everything
I needed to run and hide
To just feel perhaps of nothing
……………
Song: Remember by Noh Hyung Woo

Premium Member What Makes Me Smile

Smiles from me to you,
making you happy not blue.
Friendship we can praise,
as we enjoy sunny days.

My puppy is tan and small,
she likes to sleep in mommy's shawl.
She loves to play with her ball,
while I play with my doll.
We like to play outside,
where she will run and hide.
I will put her in my doll buggy for a ride,
her smile becomes a mile wide.
Now is it time to go inside,
dinner is ready with chicken that has been fried.

I make funny--did I make you laugh or smile today,
Your eyes light up with a big bright smile-no more gray,
My day's work is now all done-I am off to play.

Beyond First Impressions

They label me "weird," they whisper "psycho,
They run and hide, a fearful, hushed acclaim.
Then drawn by something they can't quite define,
They creep back slowly, in a hesitant line.

They sit with me, a cautious, gentle start,
And piece by piece, I take their world apart.
The mask dissolves, the image starts to fade,
The monster they imagined, no longer displayed.

They see the truth, the heart that beats within,
The empathy, the battles I did win.
The kindness offered, understanding deep,
The secrets that I faithfully will keep.

And gratitude blooms where judgment once had grown,
They see I'm different, standing here alone.
Not like the others, lost in common throng,
My spirit whispers a uniquely different song.

Then words of sorrow, apologies sincere,
For hasty judgments born of doubt and fear.
They see the value of a soul so rare,
And find redemption in the moment shared.

Boxes

Toxic notions, mixing up potions
Bubble and boil, cauldrons toil.

The words evade me,
They could've made me - by now - but somehow,
I forget what the words were
I forgot I could speak, I became so weak, inside
I was dying, I couldn't stop from crying,
I wanted to run and hide.

Perfection is just a reflection,
An image people perceive to be portraying
A mask to deceive or a mask to achieve?

Striving for success,
Trying your best is the best you can do.

Generational Curse

It will be there in the morning
It will be there at night
Pull on your boxing gloves
And swing with all your might

You hit hard
Though it’s never enough
Be on your guard
Things are about to get rough

A never ending battle
With that unseen enemy
In your head words rattle
Words like addiction, abuse, poverty

You will attempt to run and hide
Yet there is no escape
Across country or worldwide
Do not underestimate

The power of this curse
Ease up for just a second
The situation might get worse
Nevertheless my strength is unreckoned

This malediction ends here
It ends with mine
I no longer will fear
This curse has died this time

Generational Curse

It will be there at night

And swing with all your might

The Great Place Above

I’ll shed myself a final tear
I’ll say all the things I’d like you to hear
I’ll get over all my fears
The ones you’ll never help me overcome
I’ll cry until my heart is done
I’ll sing until all the words are sung
You’re gone now, but you will be missed
I’ll dream about you, good dreams are wished
I’ll never learn how to ever exist
Without you there by my side
I’ll be a coward and run and hide
I’ll waste away until my soul has died
Without you I have nothing because you were my everything
I’ll give you the world I’ll give you anything
I’ll give it all up because without you here I’m levitating
To the great place above

The Horrors of War

death screams echoing around me,
no peace here violence is all you will see.
come with the wish to be a hero,
who’s hero do you plan to be when you never see home again.
there are none here all thats here is zombies in the form of men.
why didn’t you stay at home with your wife,
think about it,
what you could of done with your life.
another roar from the bombs and bodies,
you want to be a hero but who will be yours.
there is no safety here you cant run and hide behind doors.
i know i cant make it out of this hell,
i'm trapped here i cant even make a deal with the devil because i've no soul left to sell.

I Refuse

I refuse to run and hide.

When enemies and knaves come to seize

I have a 'no-fear' DNA that dwells inside.

I'm popping out for everyone to see with no desire to please.

I refuse to lie down.

No matter how many times I slip, trip, or fall

Back up without a frown.

I'm readying myself to answer the call.

I refuse to wave the white flag.

Though the battle may be onerous and rough

Through the thickets, I go like the white stag.

Onward and upward is my only aim 'cause my spirit says I'm enough.

Cupid is a Sharpshooter

Cupid a.k.a Amor
is considered armed and dangerous
so shield your heart
against his aphrodisiacal ‘dart.’
Wear a bullet proof vest
to protect your chest!

Cupid is a notorious sharpshooter
who can hit his targets
far and wide
so you can't run and hide.
His semi automatic
makes each shot ecstatic.

Cupid is wanted
for assault with a deedly weapon
and for inciting love
so be on the lookout for a cherub with wings
and know that his match making skills
give even introverts the chills.

Aren't We All?

Aren't We All?

Alone in a vast ocean
Attacked by waves of emotion

Searching for that sea of tranquility
Trapped in this wretched reality

If we could only find the release
And escape to peace

But chaos fills the time
Even as I write my rhyme

How can this be?
If all was only up to me

I would run with empathy
If allowed to choose rightly

We all fly headlong with no clue
When flying blind like we all do

Ragged and well worn
From our wants we get torn

It's never appealing
When all our senses go reeling

We get hard jerked from highs to low
These lessons in life we may need to grow

Yet many fight the flow
Showing all they never did know

It's the choices we make
It's make or break

Run and hide if you choose
But then you suddenly loose

To bring changes about
Don't pout

We must work in harmony with the flow
We are caught in the power of this ocean, you know

When freedom rings
There is a special joy that brings

What Do I Do

In a straight betwixt two
And cannot decide
Do I boldly come forth
Or do I run and hide

If it comes to fruition
Then I might regret
But follow my intuition
I cannot make that bet

So I'll let it play out
And continue this desire
To bridle Lady Fate
Is to play with her fire.

Premium Member Song for Jayla

Song for Jayla and all little girls who's dreams are broken.

Only ten is she,
Assailable as a child can be.

Her mind will drift with worry,
There's a tear in her eyes
Her dreams are not encouraged
by a mother whos broke inside,
That's her life.

The picture that she draws,
A shadowed image of her life.
The tears on the page,
Tells of suffering and strife.

A little girl with broken dreams
She doesn't have the means, to run and hide.

BRIDGE:
Where will she be in time
What is her destiny,
Who will release her
From this tragic life she sees.
If only for an angel she'll escape her way
To a happier life.
3rd verse:
Only 10 is she
Vulnerable as a child can be.
One day she'll grow to wonder
Why her life is so undone.
She'll pick up the pieces
Or she'll always be on the run,
But that's her life...
But that's her life..fade.....

On Sterger

are we cursed or are we blessed
we fear the nos and embrace the yes
In the ease of life we avoid the pain
but with complacency what can we gain
when love comes do we run and hide
when opportunity knocks do we step aside
when our season ends will we smile and grin
or will we beg and plea to do it all again
with every laughter we deny the cry
are you living life or just flying by
