I miss THESE THE THINGS, I MISS
Surely, I miss those steps that I walked
I miss those the physical taught
So specially miss those noon day talks
Miss My Grandma Rudell, watching the sit-com “Hazel”
Miss eye those views of new day suns
Miss sorely the evening moon
The coolness of the summer nights
The smile she brought so brilliant
Surely, I miss her smell, touch and voice
Sorely, I miss her physical self
I miss her my heart beats less
Miss I miss here gentle breath
Her forehead kiss, I miss
Fail to hit, reach, or come into contact with (something aimed at)
Fail to notice, hear, or understand.
No spiritual, physical, mental contact
All things I submit,
I miss

When she spit, they run and scattered
Them their children stopped and listen
To the thunder roll roar matters
Mo’ Grand Ma Rudell
Everybody fell still
With voice of thunder roar
No bad children under
They all becoming
Obedient host
Scare of Ole Grand Ma voice
Discipline is her medicine
Ain’t na-body gonna be bad no way Mo’ Grand Ma Rudell Robinson

In loving memory, she's gone not dead grandma Rudell left first;
It was the very first time I have seen my daddy cry;
It was at birth she, my mom, dad God gave me breath;
I miss her she left when she was thirty-nine in loving memory
I was nineteen I did survive
Twelve years later my dad also left, and yes I cried
A short, strong man disciplined Navy chef his World War II mission
How I miss him
in loving memory
Truth be told there's to MY knowledge only one who was interested in me
To be my only, girlfriend turn wife and the mother of our three children
She's gone, left four years ago, she too went home to be with the Lord
in loving memory
No one truly dies they've just gone back home
Those tears we shed those we cry
Our loved one is only on loan to us
So this I do decree in loving memory this dedicated verse
~to Rudell Robinson, Annie Bell Lee, Joseph Lee, Carmen Lee Brown Lee~
How I miss them, in loving memory paternal grandmother, Mother, Father, Wife

Mama's kitchen;
somethin missin,
daddy used to bring home;
dead rabbits and squirrels,
cut up their carcass;
pull off the fur,
blood all over the table and floor;
the green oven in the corner,
has a smell up crimson burning;
whole peeled potatoes boiling,
skillet of frying liquid homemade gravy;
my daddy was a chef,
cooks any and everything from scratch;
grandma Rudell in the living room she'd walks into the kitchen.
~She says son, "cook on well done"~
you see mama could cook too, but she married my dad a navy chef
Who learn how to cook from scratch from his aunts and grand ma
man O man everybody comin in runnin into "Mother’s Kitchen"

Childhood Christmas Memories
A sleep at night
All tucked in
It feels so right
And in my dreams
I am counting all my presents
That I know I'd receive
I awaken to the scents
of evergreens, the pine tree aroma
From the real seven foot Christmas tree
This meant the world to me
My memory of childhood
Childhood Christmas memories
All my family here
There's plenty of love and cheer
Yes, I remember it well
Sometime Grandma Rudell
Would take me afterwards to the sisters at her church homes
Boxes and bags under the tree
Is all of this stuff here for me
Sometimes I got twice and more than enough
Because my birthday followed in the next month
And in the kitchen there's those SMELLS (yum)
Air filled with turkey, homemade breads and pies
Cooked hams and collard greens, cornbread and sweet potato pies
This aroma caught my nose and my eyes
All my family here
There's plenty of love and cheer
This meant the world to me
My memory of childhood .......
