FALL, THE MOST BEAUTIFUL TIME OF THE YEAR. WHEN A BLUSHING
AUTUMN COMES TO PROVIDE US WITH APPLES HANGING OFF FLOURISHING TREES, IT IS TIME TO TAKE IN THEIR RUBIOUS COLORS. AS THEY HANG
FROM THEIR STURDY STEMS WE ADMIRE THEIR MULT-COLORED SHADES OF SUNBURNT YELLOW, GOLD AND BROWN.
INSIDE THE ORCHARD WE SOMETIMES FIND LADDERS, GREAT BIG BUSHELS,
STRAW AND LINEN HATS WORN ASKEW, AND SOMETIMES BIG GOLDEN SMILES THAT SAY, " I'M LIVING IT UP! "
WHAT BETTER PLACE TO BE THEN UNDERNEATH AN AUTUMN TREE, WHERE
EVERYTHING SHIMMERS WITH NATURAL LIGHT.
LEAVES DANCE AND SWIVEL BEFORE YOUR EYES, THEN SLOWLY LAND IN THE PALM OF YOUR OPEN HAND.
THE SUN GOES DOWN AND IT IS TIME TO KEEP SILENCE WITH THE BASKET
MOON AND THE CELESTIAL EVENING STARS.
SO GO AHEAD AND EASE INTO THIS SEASON WITH A QUIET SOUL.
HELP THE APPLES SAY GOODBYE TO SUMMER. AFTER ALL IT IS AUTUMN,
A TIME FOR FALLING LEAVES THAT SIGH.

Chilled by the air that clasps my feet
with a needed rub…rubious tingles.
The door ajar with Autumnal treat.
Swept away, the humidity and its heat.
A little cold air and steaming drink,
The coffee, brave and daring.
It cools off quicker, on the brink.
From this seasonal invite, I will not shrink.
Just a small window in the hourglass,
Before the roar of arctic temperatures.
Exaggeration at best - it will kick the brass,
Inform me to quilt or sweater this lass.

Hot chocolate hot chocolate I like it sweet, at Yule time I'll drink it then take a back seat
beside the old tree where Santa I'll meet they'll be cookies galore for St Nick to eat
as he shimmies and jiggles on two booted feet and a face flushed like rubious beet
I'll be eager to meet him but I will not cheat as I wait for the daylight now isn't that neat !
hot chocolate hot chocolate with marshmallows too I'll watch the chimney as I quietly chew
I have coated the bricks with butter and goo so his belly will slide,
(wink) he'll know what to do !
Down in the manger the angels acrue waiting for Jesus to
make His debut
While the Three Kings are offering their three gifts on cue, dear Santa
I'm waiting, I'm waiting for you
Hot chocolate hot chocolate I like it sweet,
but when it comes to Jesus, I won't take a back seat.

Fall is the most beautiful time of the year for me, with its blushing
Apples and fruitful trees dressed in zesty rubious healthy leaves with
Luminous fruit hanging off its stems, like galas, granny smiths, and fuji
Leaves of multi colored sunburnt shades of yellow, gold and brown
Inside the orchard, ladders, bushels, straw hats and farmer pant- grins
No better place to be then underneath an Autumn tree when every
Golden leaf shimmer-shimmies before swiveling down at your feet
Leaves that dance and shuffle-shake before landing in your hands
Earthing to the ground covering you with giant leafy dry crispy limbs
Arrest the night, stop the moon, hold the stars, its time to listen to the
Voices of the night, the falling leaves have their sorrowful story to tell
Ease into their season with a quiet soul. Help them say goodbye to the
Summer. After all it is the season of Autumn, a time for falling leaves.

Through mirror’s bilge, Mariana on deck -
Wick’d queen, licks lips, with a delicious scheme.
In mock ascent, ego gives cheek a peck.
Suddenly daughter’s reflection - a gleam,
As snow forms queen’s exhale into a scream,
Her rubious threads covered in bright light,
Mariana’s hair in cascading flight.
Furious dark red strands taint apple’s flesh.
Fruit’s innocent beauty beckons a fright.
Hoary-shapeshifter tempts Eve - step-hate fresh.

BARCELONA FLAMENCO
clicking of heels, like torrential downpour. guitar
plucking at the eardrums, chest wall erupting.
like a hurricane of crisp crimson leaves of Autumn ~
a raked pile, blowing around in tumultuous sweep,
her skirt, spread out in the expanse of rubious dawn,
passion’s glorious splendor, a prolific hunger.
his eyes dance as frenetic flames, hypnotized
by Spain’s red cape. His imagination, like a bull,
thunders, steaming nostrils, horny stabs at the
glorious threads of her swirling romantic escapade.
buxom black smoke and radiant yellow-gold crackles,
whip the frenzy, of her smoking hot Barcelona flamenco.
he nearly succumbs, exhausted from the steam room,
the ferocious red waves lapping at his face, his feet,
his heart. he decides he must meet her, when the fire
dims, douses, settles. he must charm the incubus.
