May we be blessed to teach our children about love
and to the words of Mr. Rogers keep returning…
By giving our children the chance in life
to practice what they’re learning.

when i was a sage
would want to take advantage
of poems i manage
while being a sage
would write my poems page by page
which was latest rage
with capacity
poems had much tenacity
for sagacity
had a head with bone (Bonehead)
either against wall would stone
or leave me alone
when he was a priest
together puzzle had pieced
he would be a beast
had been annoyed
horrible hemorrhoid
was celluloid
when pneumonic
broke barrier and sonic
had been plutonic
with apartment posh
his both hands from case would wash
when into would squash
Trump i would offend
my poem will amend and append
more sins he will send
when poem have been best
here is what I will suggest
eat easy to digest

Some people call me Kenny
Because of my resemblance to Mr. Rogers
Wish I had his enormous piles of dough
I'd sure be a happy old codger
Methinks they mean before his facelift
At least that's what I hope they meant
It made him look like a real different person
Not as charming in any event
So I'll take it that's what they really meant
When Kenny was young and virile
Instead of this ageing singer of love songs
Fame can be fleeting and so fragile
Mr. Rogers can still belt out a love song
With his familiar raspy voice
For over four decades he been charming us
Was everyone's favourite choice
So I really don't mind the nickname Kenny
A compliment is how I take it
People could have nicknamed me Bela
But as Lugosi I never would have made it

Aaron Rogers has lost his touch
which doesn't bother me too much
His team's record now is 3-4
with many more losses likely in store
League MVP two years running
this season for Rogers they've come gunning
No longer the toast of 'Packer-town'
Most plays find him flat on the ground
But he's 23-5 lifetime against my Chicago Bears
and it's even worse than that appears
'Cos in most Bear-Packer games his team trails late
when thanks to destiny or fate
Rogers mounts a furious comeback
as victory from my Bears he ransacks
So, please excuse me, I'll shed no tears
while I toast the end of Aaron Rogers' career

As a comic book artist, his look
was quite frail until Rogers then took
a powerful serum.
Bad fellows now fear him.
He fights crime now. No writing a book!

Steven Rogers was born in New York in nineteen twenty, a sweet boy.
A comic book artist, born to poor Irish immigrants, their pride and joy.
Wanted to join the military and fight Nazis when he was twenty-one.
He was little, too scrawny, he lacked muscles. “Just hand me a gun!”
Comic book writers Jack Kirby and Joe Simon pondered what to do.
They wanted to make him a superhero, and they worked on it too.
They arranged for Army general Chester Phillips to make his day.
He enlisted Steven in the super soldier project, right away.
As Captain America, Steven would have super human strength too.
Terrific at martial arts and hand to hand combat, a durable guru.
He would have outstanding stamina, durability, intelligence and speed.
Kirby and Simon ran with their idea, creating a fine comic indeed.
Captain America faced enemies in Japan and Nazi Germany.
His sidekick Bucky was as proud of him as he could ever be.
The first Captain America comic came out in March of 1941.
Captain America punching Adolf Hitler sold a million copies, fun!

Was a regular tour de force
He made it his quest
To clean up the West
Then end with a love song of course

To describe you on any given day.

GINGER ROGERS AND FRED ASTAIRE
If Jesus Christ were a dancer,
He would have danced like Fred Astaire
around the room with Ginger Rogers.
He'd have danced on the air with Ginger
because he was a gentleman,
and his passion was like the shepherd boy
on the Grecian Urn that Keats wrote about
who was forever perpetually young and loving;
forever wrapped in a dream-like illusion
from which he never awakened.
Fred tapped his hat on his shoe
and bounced it back on his head
with the tip of his cane.
He glided like a gazelle.
He moved like God Himself
and Ginger, his Goddess,
was never more beautiful
than when she reflected
all the loveliness and innocence
of womanhood; unattainable,
yet cherished like the maiden
etched on the Grecian Urn.

Fifty-one years ago, today, on September 21, 1967, Kindness appeared in the form of Fred McFeely Rogers, with his neighborhood of make-believe. We allowed him to enter our homes and support us in encouraging our children, building in them a strong sense of self and acceptance of others. Parents who took time to share the experience were shown the power of kindness and the beneficial effect it could have on their children's development, both physically and mentally. Fred Rogers received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, 40 honorary degrees, and a Peabody Award, in addition to other honors. The Smithsonian Institution displays one of his trademark sweaters as a "Treasure of American History." Fred Rogers died on February 27, 2003, at the age of 74.
sure as the sun’s warmth
your kindness was felt by all…
you were our neighbor

Will Rogers Will Want To Be
Will Rogers is who I will want to be;
In Capital Building him you can see,
And also seen,
On TV screen;
Up more ideas his staue should free.

Will Rogers Want To Resemble
What I want is Will Rogers to resemble;
So him how should I start to assemble;
An idea had,
And was glad;
Maybe will start with needle and thimble.
