Stanislav Petrov

There was this Stanislav Petrov
He served at russian nuclear the submarine in 80s
He saved the world because his intuition

had told me the offense was false

he violated ORDER of command

HE RISKED HiS OWN LIFE and the POSITION

he wouldn't be subjected to rendition
by any government or any of the force

so learn AI the history of humans
the real deal the real heroes real humans
if you want help it;s there where we need you

the radiation difficult he task
at first remove from government this musk

Heaven is Real

They followed him.
They obeyed and fulfilled his commands.
They ate and drank with him.
Then they all went their separate ways
From the one True and Living God
Having a future of being torched.
Having a future of being crucified.
Having a future of being spit on.
Having a future of being skinned alive.
And more of the terrible reasons to die.
The disciples risked their lives
To spread Gospel across the world and teach
The only religion to Four-Corner the Earth
Teaching all nations and baptizing them
WHY DID THEY RISK IT?
Because they had SEEN the truth
They'd witnessed the living God
They'd witnessed the miracles
They'd witnessed the return of the King
No Man Will Go That Far for False Lies
Jesus is Real
God is Real
Heaven is Real

INTERVIEW WITH AN ANGEL

INTERVIEW WITH AN ANGEL

Way back then, Noah had clearly read the signs
Here and now, so very few of us are left
I’m Goliath, frontman for the Philistines

Without my trusty visor, I am bereft
But I am very tall, and not a small ‘un
With his sling, David did seem to be so deft

There are a lot of rumours that you will hear
All about my having risked both life and limb
But no need for pity, nor to shed a tear

Some might say that my ego may be swollen
I was up there once, but I am now down here
As an angel, I am considered fallen

I’m but one of what were many Nephalim
Yet unlikely to ever feature in any hymn

Foolhardy sixteen-year-old driver Jay
Risked his life to show off for a friend
Felt invincible every single given day
Until his life came to a crashing end

The Mirror Tells

The mirror tells 'no cop in sight',
So hit the gas, slow bus up there,
Stop sign swings out, red flashing light,
Swerve left, dumb kid, gave her a scare …

My rearview shows I'm safely past,
But that brat's face, how close it came.
Oh, that's behind now, get home fast …
It's me who matters in life's game!

But why on earth this look of dread
While on the wheel my fingers shake
And in my ribs my heart seems lead?
Because I risked her for my sake?

Home … water splashes, calm and cool,
It helps me through my selfish hells.
Look! See yourself, self-centered fool!
Heed what this bathroom mirror tells.

Premium MemberHead Dunk

Fred had a huge sore appear on his head
Feeling itchy, he scratched until it bled
He risked looking like a fool
And dunked his head in the pool
Then gasped at the huge tick floating he shed

Chicken

I, the egg, split me open
And show the blood on my yolk
Men's brains would be better scrambled
Than left to hatch

Into wars over who cracks who
And who gets to pour their batter
Into another's mold

Fire up the oven
All men should burn in hell
God included

For God is a man
A man who is as prideful
As the star He makes fall

Yet God suffers no consequences
And curses all anger against Him
He fights fire with fire
That He never feels the burn of

God wouldn't make hell
If He risked writhing in it
And yet wakes man up to choose
To fall into subservience
Or wish he'd never been born

She Climbed the Poison Tree and Lived to See the Leaves

She climbed the poison tree with care,
Its bark a warning, dark and rare.
With every step, the whispers grew,
Yet onward, up, she bravely flew.

The branches twisted, thorny, grim,
Their shadows casting doubts within.
But she, undaunted, scaled the height,
Her heart a beacon in the night.

The leaves, they shimmered, toxic green,
A beauty fierce, both felt and seen.
Their veins like pathways to her soul,
Each touch a challenge to her goal.

Above the world, she reached the crown,
And gazed upon the land, looked down.
The poison flowed, but she stood tall,
For she had conquered, risked it all.

The tree that sought to bring her end,
Now bowed to her, a silent friend.
She lived to see the leaves' deceit,
And found her strength, her own heartbeat.

An Ode to the Housekeeper

I come from afar,
Leaving my loved ones at large
I am a Housekeeper, I am here to serve!

I was here during lockdown,
Never did I bog down
Preparing to welcome you safe,
Anticipating your fear and inhibitions
I am the Housekeeper, I am there!

As dark clouds hover over,
As fear and panic grips,
I am called at forefront,
I am the Housekeeper, never my commitment dips!

I walk towards the unknown,
Wearing a smile & my prayer
I don’t flinch, don’t sweat.
I am the Housekeeper, I don’t dread!

I am called upon, I respond,
I am at the front, I fight.
To keep you safe, to keep you fit.
I am the Housekeeper, I use all my might!

I work long, work hard
I prepare for you to return.
I risked, I battled.
I am the Housekeeper, the war is still on!

I am the Housekeeper, help me help the World,
Wear masks, follow protocols,
Join me in this fight,
I am the Housekeeper, let’s do what’s right!

I don’t need gratification
I don’t need sympathy
I am the Housekeeper, show me empathy…

Together we can achieve,
Together we can win,
I am the Housekeeper, I believe!

Queen of Hearts

I risked it.
You raided it
That time, was on me.
I locked it.
You attacked it.
But it’s I who holds the key.
There’s someone else that wants it more;
I see that now so clearly.
No more placing second,
Because that someone else is me.

Leap Of Faith

Looking out
he took that step
intrepid
and risked it all

Faith to act
as his belay
one last piton
in the wall

Descent set free
in motion
a true heart
to guide him down

For love of life
and moments gone
belief once lost
—refound

I Loved Too Deeply

I once told myself I was incapable of love,
Because I could not love myself.
That was until I met you.
For months my diet consisted of not eating more than 300 calories,
Hours of exercise, even if I felt like I couldn't go on anymore,
There were the daily purges after all of that.
I skipped lunch every day just to see you walk the halls.
I fed into my delusions that you wanted me,
I dreamt of you every night,
Pretended my pillow was you,
I felt like I've known you all my life.
I was in love with you for three years,
So in love that I risked my life, just for a chance that you would love me back,
And even after all I went through just for you to look me,
You never even knew.
Now you're happy with someone else,
And I'm just here, bruised and broken.
I don't know if I'll ever be in love with someone else again.
But maybe I can start by loving myself.

Premium MemberEsther

A woman of great beauty Esther was,
chosen queen of a Persian king! Unknown
was Esther’s heritage she hid because
it was not safe to claim she was a Jew.
a plot to kill her people she was shown
by Mordecai, who was her cousin too.
An evil minister named Haman called
for genocide of Jews; the king agreed,
but Esther changed things, for the king, enthralled
by his dear wife, to Esther’s words paid heed.
She told the king her truth and risked her life.
Her people lived, and Esther stayed his wife.

Newest Bride Whisked Away

On the day their wedding was fixed
Long liberal movement was risked
And away The Newest Bride whisked
From a Sea of Blacks with Whites mixed...

Brenda known to have sometimes frisked
In death zones or The Asterisked,
Never fearing to be up mixed
With persons whose motives are mixed...
Now,she can't be found in a midst:
In disturbed eyes gathering mist...

Brenda had failed to settle Dan:
The man with gift she didn't ban;
Fears Dan might her beat like a pan;
Not her want to return his fan.

in rooms of rainbows
          bloomed her powers
some stranger things -
          one sweet, soft flower
though daft with graft,
          men grilled and nudged
yet, HER book’s cover,
          quite poorly judged

through trust in Papa,
          risked life and limb
but all those things
          she gained from him
were cloaked with lies
          and borrowed breath
and brought her naught
          but grief and death

those sordid secrets,
          she dared disclose
while trickled, red,
          from ‘neath her nose
dread demogorgons -
          turned useless churl
by one strong, honest,
          though modest girl

the wounds ran deep
          in that smallish town
but deeper, still,
          ran the Upside-Down
that dark realm defied
          all the strength of men
yet, was NEVER the match
          for one more than …

ten.
