Premium MemberThe Jungle Untamed

' The Jungle Untamed calls me to exhibit its wonder and splendor to
       mesmerise.'
          -Poet

     Jungle untamed accommodates flora -fauna
at random on broad spectrum, whimsically.

Feral fruits, flowers and wild grasses
grow free frolic, rustic yet fantastic
in jungle on rainy or sunny environ,
      flourishing versatility of Nature.

Creepers and climbers tangled stout stems and boughs
coiling tight, being part of the tall trees.
  Marvellous presentation of thorny bushes,
cluster of shrubs and soft thick tapestry of moss.

Ferocious animals with furious face fight
with one another as normal part of life.
Weak herbivores live at mercy of carnivores.
Survival of fittest is basic Nature’s Law.

In jungle untamed , primates started to build
dwelling places as caves, log house, trying
renovating to huts with continued effort
     using brain power and tenacity.

Jungle untamed is the prime birth place of
       normal progress for human civilisation.

The Magic Window

Upon renovating, I stumbled upon
A window that had been closed off
For years, it was a strange place
For a window to be positioned but
I felt compelled to expose it
So, I torn the covering down
After clearing, I nervously fumble
With the latch at first, I got this strange feeling
Just by being so close but I manage
To get the window open, I lift it up and looked outside
I saw the universe with time leaping about
I jump backed quickly, with my heart racing
I took a second breathe and then jumped inside
When it spit me out, I was younger and finer
I was also filthy rich from manipulating time
I enjoyed my life but two weeks later
I suddenly got weak and extremely tired
So I tried to rush to the mirror, I was shock
To see that I had turned old
Then I realized why the window
Had been hidden for years

Paint Job

when it comes to renovating
I'm definitely slapdash
in fact it would be fair to say
that I can be rather rash

sanding bores me senseless
and it's a job I try to shirk
because I lack the patience
for the preparation work

I’ve slapped the paint on badly
it’s dripping down the door
oozing over skirting boards
to decorate the floor

spots are on the window
and spilled upon on the stair
unfortunately I've got most of it
stuck on my face and hair

they say patience is a virtue
a saying I should not ignore
because now that it’s all finished.....
I wish I'd sanded more

Premium MemberFor My Father

Funny how faith found me, when you said you'd send for me

Abundance, I heard, abound in the United States of America

Travel was in my blood; warmed my heart that you filed for me

Humbly I waited my Quota at the U.S. Embassy in Belize, British Honduras

Eagerly you awaited my arrival

Reaching you, my life began anew with stern and lenient caring

Safe and secured, I was proud owner of a Green card.

Dad, I remembered you renovating our home before the hurricane season

America saw you laboring as Construction worker and Carpenter

Yes, you worked, womanized, and drank to life.

Premium MemberA Sand Crabs Lot In Life

Grains of sand
hiding small burrows;
every tiny sand crabs, the Emerita Analoga
needs its burrow.
intense sunlight’s warm but
has its dangers, even for a tiny crab’s skin.
xiphosurans, cousins to the sand crabs,
don’t need to stress and
worry about the sun
as unless they are upside down, it won’t harm them.
long hot summers will see sand crabs burrowing to
keep themselves from sunburn and dry skin. These
burrowing crabs have insufficient legs for traveling.
zooplankton nourishes the crabs,
building their health so they can burrow deeply
underneath the sand.
just watch where you step at the beach,
no one wants to be squished when they’re building or be
renovating their lovely burrow. All life is sacred,
please show some respect.

Premium MemberOld Shearing Shed Art Studio

Larger than large, fostering the void,
Rippled iron for the walls, roof and door,
Above six-foot legs reaching up from the dirt,
To cradle the woollen greased floor,

With broken old memories in the years now at peace,
Years from the sheep shearing and men,
Years of disused hard immovable love,
Love from the chutes, race and pens,

This ghostly lit hall became an art hub,
Again a busy but with beautiful paint,
Where freedom can sit and relax with the past,
Where life can go to escape,

And walls are now coloured with exquisite art pop,
Everything here is a friend,
That greets folks each time they create art with a brush,
In the hundred year old shearing shed.

Premium MemberA School Journey

I knew I was good at opening doors,
To blossom their thoughts and ignite.
Everyone had their own little glittering globe,
My job was to make them shine bright.
The interview went great in the London office,
When I talked the talk that I walk.
The panel embraced my every word,
A maths teacher that knew how to chalk.

The next job interview was over the phone,
The principal needed me to teach Japan.
“Japanese? Hell yeah”, then I’d change it to French,
A year of languages? Yep, I was the man.
And then the call to the next principal,
An Aussie, renovating his foyer.
Six years of a one year trial maths job,
To the kids I was the mathematic destroyer.

And now a call from the state’s executive,
Starting next term with our indigenous youth.
“Teach and inspire, excite and succeed”,
I’m to teach the mathematical truth.
I’m a teacher of teens, I teach every day,
To be reasonable, rational and logical.
So when they’re grown up and out and about,
They’ll wisely “out think” any obstacle.

Farewell Fighter

Foreign is this simple sound escaping my breath, filling the room in excess
Am I sick, am I alone in here; the sound resonates an echo I can't place
Renovating the airspace like it belongs, a familiarity
Existing in this singular instance, a mimic of a repetitive action heard everyday
Well wishing, is it the wish that finally came true
Even though that wish was made five odd years ago
Liar, liar don't lie to me my own cryptic thoughts
Lullaby me, sway me softly to soothe the growing chaos in my mind
For I have been deaf since age 11
Ignite this fire which laid dormant, for I've felt unbalanced, inescapable silence
Go liar doctor, make another promise to me you'll never keep
Hear me with my hands since you can't hear me with my voice
Tell me what on earth is this static coming through clearly
Everyday I.....hear....I can....hear....
Resonating through my room, I noticed....it's been...me...laughing, crying; I can hear

Premium MemberRestless Renovation of Life

I'm getting up and sitting down.
And I'm getting up again.
I'm turning CHANGE around.
Who has the authority to say
Yes or no.

Maybe gave me TOMORROW.
WHO sign their name on that line?
I'm changing pace.
I'm packing up the worries.

I'm racking in the cash.
Life has given me a better bed of
Blue roses.
Renovating fiercely, plucking up
The weeds.
Fixing up prescribed old remedies. KNOCKING
down walls. Putting down new SOIL.
REPLACING the old fencing in the new.

Chasing scary yesterday's.
With a handful of forget-me-nots
Tucked under one arm.
And I'M FINE.
YEAH. I'M FINE.

Rivers of Blood

With every senseless death
We slip into the underworld
And unwittingly fertilize the earth
To grow and cultivate even more hatred

We’re all in a syringe
Crushed under this global empire
Driving the needle of revenge
To suck life-giving blood like vampires

Have you seen hell...?
It’s the colour you read
And with every drop we spill
We paint its dark walls and corridors red

He’s giving himself a facelift
And renovating his dungeon
Not seen since the holocaust
With new blood and fresh souls to condemn

How many must lay soaking the ground
As the demons dance in the rain?
Just today feeding the underground
With the lives of innocent God’s children

In search of humanity’s main vein
To supply the rivers of blood
Drying up with peaceful reign
Open the floodgates so peace and love can flood

Drawing Lines

Sometimes people live too close to one another
with the scent of lives overlapping lines
psyches stepping on toes and
problems bleeding in through doors & windows.

Neighbors crying, remonstrating, manipulating, and copulating
demonstrating the need for soundproofing or renovating
as we wave the next day our smiles ingratiating
because its at their expense our needs we’ve been satiating

and the building goes on.

Some stress “urban sprawl” others cry “urban blight.”
Yet developers rub hands with piggish delight
Smart animals follow the birds, which take flight
and poor confused deer become targets at night.

Yet the building goes on.

Big boxes, small boxes, strip malls and stores,
McDonalds, and Wendy’s, and Bed Bath and More
Family Dollars and State Liquor Stores
Pawn Shops and Nail Shops and

and . . .

when trees are memories
fish bellies rise like steam from warm waters
and desertification has become "the new black."
Perhaps then we will draw a line in the sand.

Dawn

When darkness is at its peak
It’s then the signal for dawn
Light enters us through the wounds
Brings glow to our soul
The glow of our soul
illuminates the world around us
Keeping ourselves in the dark ,
we deprive ourselves of the light
Just strive to open them
Those widows of your heart
and let that first light of dawn enter it
That rejuvenating light…..
That renovating light......
And watch the magic
thus created unfold….

We, the Students

We, the Students

The classroom may seem to you,
As a place very serious,
But there are monkeys,
The ones most mischievous.

We, the students, are there in disguise,
We may appear very serene and wise,
But to this coin, there is another side,
Which all neglect; try to avoid.

Angels in white dress,
Above the head a golden ring,
From inside, with horns and tails,
We're a devil- like thing.

Heads are stable, faces with smile,
Legs are busy kicking all the while.
Behind the book, the head one hides,
And is busy talking with the one besides.

The teacher turns to the board to write,
The students start their chalk fight,
When, about the scientific progress is told,
Various paper planes, in our hand, we hold.

When is taught the history of mankind,
The delicious food is dreamed of by our mind,
Busy is the pencil and the pen,
Renovating faces of great men.

When, the knowledge, the teacher feed,
Jokes, beneath our desk, we read,
Very skillfully all this is done,
Nothing is noticed by anyone!
