mystical faerie queen
arising from depths of fathomless waters
out of the darkness
exuding self
creating blood red roses
in her wake
exposing her innocence
relishing in her womanliness
all powerful
vulnerable to no one
exposing her essence
shining her soul
blue and black
tresses rising from the deep
plotting the completion
of the war mongers
raising her army
followed by elementals
who fear other cosmic
forces
mystical faerie queen
ready to play
provoke, and bend other
gods with her sexual charms

REAPING AND RELISHING SAPODILLA PLUMS
Reaching out towards freshness all ripened,
Holding onto huge branches hovering high,
Not bothered about tan getting deepened,
I hand pluck lush naseberries straight from the sky;
Savouring sweetness with a satisfied sigh.

Have you ever been told that you want your cake and to eat it to.
Well of course, I do.
A Tres Leche cake…you would too.
A moister cake…there is none.
This cake is creamy, dreamy, and fun.
This cake almost melts on your tongue.
Three kinds of milk are soaked in this sponge.
Fruit and, whipped icing, blankets the top…
If my mouth could dance, it would be-bop.

My baker’s commissioned to bake
A huge cow shaped iced wedding cake
The groom is a farmer
He sure is a charmer
Its design could lead to heartbreak
When the bride saw the cake how she cried
Her traditional cake was denied
She screamed at the groom
Get out of this room
Then she plunged the knife in the cow’s side
Inspired by but not for contest

We see them in old movies,
aged sitcoms –
black and white
or fading color.
We hear ancient languages—
dead voices on sound tracks,
buried giggles, awkward squawks
of unexpected laughter.
We relish corpses—
old friends,
remembered relatives
stiff in brown photographs.
Reels creak, VHS tapes moan,
DVDs hum silently
with sprocket holes,
white scratches in sky,
burnt nitrate edges of night.
We relish corpses.
They are us.
