Don’t ask, and never be afraid
The weather casts some chill
Your garden it redecorates
Down on your window sill
The petals of your roses fall
They tremble on the wind
But you aren’t there, so I won’t call
A red rose petal spins
And lands somewhere in the grass
Which grew a bit too high
Don’t be afraid, and please don’t ask
Life is the art of time
But lines get dim, and colours fade
Our smiling faces blur
Now in the house where we stayed
The moon paints on the floor.
Mother Nature has real class,
Each Spring she redecorates,
But not one penny is spent;
Self-expression’s her best tool.

Soul food spread

Durians harvest

Cold and wet

By this old tree
Shivering cold;
Awaiting salvation
Pregnant rain

On my way home
Heavy downpour
Washes my attire
If only
I expected
