What they don’t tell You
What the recruiters tell you:
“Be all you can be.”
“An Army of one.”
“Fly high with the Air Force.”
“Join the Navy and see the world.”
“Be the best. Be a Marine.”
“Join the National Guard and get an education and keep your job.”
Things recruiters leave out:
Watching your friend(s) go home in body bag(s).
The dirt and sweat.
C rations, K rations, MRE’s.
PTSD, suicides, drug addiction.
Limbs lost. Traumatic brain injury.
Bloated, decomposing corpses.
Dead men, women and children.
Fear so intense you soil yourself.
Lice, sand, dust, cold, heat.
The stench of death.
Families torn apart.
Long road to rehab or death whichever comes first.

Don got the boot
for wearing a suit
Recruiters said, 'Anything goes'
so Don pierced his nose
Now he's a hot commodity
instead of an oddity

Beautiful floppy hat with a kaleidoscopic design,
You show up in the courtyard as I taste my wine.
Your wearer caught my eyes, she is such a beauty.
I wish I was not leaving tomorrow, but it is my duty.
I signed up for the navy before I met this lovely creature.
Recruiters got me hard and good, showing me a double feature.
I want to get her number, but kismet will have to be ready.
Right now, I am a seaman, shipping off, a guy named Freddy.
I take one last look at the beauty under the hat.
Is that my sister next to her? What do you think of that?
Kismet has a plan. I run over to say “hi”.
“This is my brother Fred, Sue said. “he is a great guy.”

Fake friends don't remember friends...
Don't have friends when they grow up
when they get rich...
They changed their identity, they don't recognize a friend
only sycophants,
collaborators
slaves of their enrichment...
In fact, they were not friends...
They were poor profiteers,
thirsty recruiters
thieves of other people's knowledge...
Over time they lost their dignity, their tenderness...
The feelings were erased,
killed the soul and,
promoted a culture of power... !
They are false to themselves...!

BODY PARTS OF THE PEOPLE WE KILL
BEING USED AS PROPS IN PHOTOS BY THE
****ED UP MURDEROUS AMERICAN SOLDIERS
PARADING AROUND THE GLOBE
BEATING UPON THE HEADS OF THE REST OF THE WORLD
WITH THEIR POLICEMAN”S
BATON---
do you think this is ok, mister/miss john/jenny Q taxpayer?
do you think that after these kids get roped in by recruiters to be all they can be,
they get taught in basic training that posing with the body parts of the Afghans that they kill is somehow right?
isn’t it bad enough that we are so ****ing self-righteous
that we believe we can beat the world into submission,
so that everyone will walk, talk & act like us?
isn’t it bad enough that desecration story after desecration story concerning the bodies of people that we are supposedly “protecting” end up being a news blurb for five seconds & then we are supposed to give a *****about
justin bieber & cristina aguilera?
HAVE AN OPINION ON THE SUBJECT?
THESE ARE THE BODIES OF THE PEOPLE THAT OUR TAX DOLLARS KILL.
YOU & I SHOULD BE ANGRY, NO?
THESE ARE THE BODIES OF THE PEOPLE THAT OUR TAX DOLLARS KILL.

Talk about a frightful flight
I think it was last Thursday night
I was heading out of town for work
Our flight attendant went berserk
Instead of the normal spiel they gave
This lady starts to rant and rave
Her own airline she really trashes
Screams about bad luck and crashes
No, it was not the friendly patter
She came across as a Mad Hatter
The other crewmen try to stop her
Eventually we had to hop her
Hold her down, call 911
This all before the flight’s begun
We had to taxi to a gate
As on the local cops we wait
Something had snapped, she couldn’t hack it
They took her off in a straight jacket
They took our numbers, took our names
Loaded us on other planes
No explanation of what just happen
Perhaps recruiters once were nappin’
All in all I now surmise
Unfriendly fly the friendly skies
