Reamed Poems

Premium MemberEchoes Reamed Out, Cleaned, Redeemed

Time cleans out the rusty clogged drains
to forget the gritty dusty details
logged in echoes, stored for recall,
too messy, too truthful to retain.
I wonder why?
'cause the rough stuff
lodges in dreams stored
in the gooey
caramel centers
of chocolate creams.

Premium MemberMy Life This Week

A student lights a tablecloth on fire in the lunchroom.
The adult in charge gets reamed for not paying attention to him.
Why didn’t you immediately see what he wanted?
First of all, he yelled at me.
Then he got out of his seat and began running toward me.
I have forty-six other students who know they have to raise their hand.
I told him to go back and raise his hand.
Did he do it?
No.
So, did you go over and see what he wanted?
Yes.
And what happened?
He yelled at me again telling me a table mate poured water on his lunch tray.
They had both poured water on each other’s lunch tray.
My boss who is NEVER in there when the adult in charge is said
“I have now given him permission to leave the lunchroom if you do not pay attention to him.”
I thought I was the adult in charge.
All thoughts of that went out the window.
Today was our next lunch shift together.
He nearly choked a student in two.
All powerful now thanks to my boss.

The Night Crickets

The Night Crickets

The cacophony of night crickets
Chirp not only at night, but all day too.
Everywhere I wander, I am serenaded
By these tiny creatures in nature’s zoo.

The pair of white doves
Watch me as I come out the door,
Always in sight as I look up from my book.
Pecking for seeds around my outdoor floor.

Heard a noise on my skylight at dusk one night,
Looked up to see the two doves eyeing me
As they strut back and forth on the glass.
Strange how they hover around me so peacefully.

I was reamed out by an agitated hungry squirrel,
As I came down my root bound hilly trail.
Brown eyes looked into mine, cheeks puffed out,
Inched down the fir’s rough bark, bushy tailed.

Chattering loudly, it scurried ‘round the trunk.
I gently spoke, stood still as could be.
It hunched down eating the cone like a corn cob,
After blasting me again as it scampered off the tree.

And all the while the chirping of the night crickets
Never cease their sweet serenade, night and day.
Always in the background wherever my feet lead,
While mother nature’s creatures entertain with their play.

Premium MemberAlways Stay

Whenever I think of you
within my solitude
Asking forever why
I spread my wings and fly

Through the skies I fly
at Heaven's gate I cry
Just to see your face
so my sorrows be replaced

But others grab my wings
and rip them from there seams
And cast me back down
I fall back earth bound

If I could free my soul
give you my angel's wings of gold
we could fly away
together we would always stay

I feel you in my dreams
my prayers all but reamed
I die each day and fade
each night my wings whole made

If a immortal and mortal love
only one can be granted Above
To my love I sent her dying soul
to Paradise I let her spirit go

Now an eternity on earth I roam
to humans I am unknown
The sin to love what should not be
Forever has cursed and condemned me

All I can do over again and again
to fly forth into the Heavens
Desiring to see her but once more
I am thrown down to earth's floor

I hear her voice within the wind
I feel her from the sun on my skin
I cry with her in the rain
I bleed my heart until it drains

Whenever I think of you
within my solitude
Asking forever why
I spread my wings and fly

Brighter Forecast

Grey clouds slow streamed across a dark sky line
Day then was when I gleaned a clearer sign
Way through the dark redeemed to brightening shine
Ray beams that cleaned my vision now benign
Play warm on harvest reamed to sweeter wine
May light a world I dreamed of future fine

Breaking Glass

Razor-ed Pain
stroked into might
heaving a scream
throwing respite

Aches to be bleed
wound turning green
mauling a body
who’s insides reamed

Soaked into rags
misery Dazzled
break in thought
memories are frazzled

Sockets of agony
ratchets in mind
swirling a tempest
unhitching inside

Spines of fire
gliding above
touching on heaven
to rainbows of Love
