I Look Forward 11 of 11

I was in command at the helm
when too much demand overwhelmed
couldn't find understanding felt pressure
declined as a man thought myself lesser
became linked with mental health
failed to deal with what life dealt, raw deal?

Maybe, still I feel I may have reordered my way of handle
I put myself out in the wind like a candle
destined for downfall
and though I was surrounded by people
there were none when I reached forth
suppose I could have preached and forced
or just seen the bigger picture
head office catch the fish bigger
but not seen as an option I figured,
decision failure,

but isolation is lonely going it as the only
still I don't like to moan
was a one man army once charming turned angry
not shocked I was abandoned
alone is my only understanding,
but know, just one man woman or hand
could have changed the battle from damned

still I experienced life as a victim
but don't claim to be one
had to much fight and competitive juice in the system
made the situation linger and won the ratio,
getting the better
still could have done better,
lost the war won the battles
tough luck from all angles

but this is my first clear reflection
of a chapter of my life from ten years ago,
people say let it go, I say no,
but let it leak I will and slowly forget
whilst taking the lessons as profit

I got knocked down stayed down for a decade,
survived yet decayed, until now when I move from it,
this is the dawn, finally I've got it,
understood and sorted
now I look forward,

the world looks good as a man with understanding standing
after damning demand and abandoned had the upper hand
but feets don't fail me,
lungs don't empty,
heart, beats, pounding,
brain untangled,
all once strained
but a heavenly strain sees me go again,

I look forward as I self applaud,
being no longer appalled or overruled,
a liberated warrior has risen from a warring prison
stronger, enlightened to a sun rising, I kept fighting,
let's go forward, let's go forward
