Indulging in Fantasy

Everything is shrouded
in promise,
hope, and fantastic
intangible places
where I float
softly outlined
by delicate, obscured light.
I reach a hand
through the pupil
of my mind’s eye
reaching for fantasies, poems
and perfection~
a fistful of wishful creativity
leaving real life
behind
