Castle In the Air
No other country where I've been seems half so fair,
It's the land where I, in childhood, built my castles in the air.
James Kay Glasgow
Castle in the Air
Can I see my Castle in the Air?
No! Unlike a stone chateaux
it is a vision of rainbow light
floating on cloud meadows
Its four small words,
‘Castle in the air.'
fashioned from wide dreams
I imagine vines from
enchanted woods, climb the walls
deep, green precious leaves.
Bright violets fill the undergrowth
in orchards of mist
Windows reflect infinity-
Deep puzzles of beginning and end
Expectation gleams on gold spires
I can only ask for myth
For Castles in the Air Contest.
