Deep blood red orange cloud’s,
ethereal dream float,
Satin wind carrier of luscious mint,
green hymnody’s deft transport,
Spring hues random loitering,
between gray peeled branches,
Chirpy echo squeak,
from red-wing blackbird,
A fragile wafer tin threshold,
Golden stream gurgle,
under marsh reeds,
Evanescent saline grain haze,
Azure ocean tide aroused,
from still wave slumber,
Clamshell pearl strewn oyster,
oddments interspersed,
on pockmark sandstone beach,
Iridescent canopy of nature trail,
Awaits the first blush pilgrim,
who revels in lavish glimpses,
And sumptuous earworm madrigal,
A tantalizing world so close,
Glad tiding raptures,
from the camper awakened,
Coffee caper bean whiff aromatic,
Quencher of dust road harsh throat,
Splatter free rapeseed oil,
daub on an iron pan,
wild howl from prehistoric wolf,
So quaint in its primal sweep,
hair-raising backdrop to stir fry meal,
Tinplate dollop sated hunger

I am going to paint a picture of bluebells in a field
Will try to convert this view into words as it yields
Its meandering path through flowers so deep
Past a stream that looks gold from the noon day heat
A slight incline makes the journey go slow
The heady perfume sets your senses aglow
Inhaling deeply perfume swims inside your head
Intoxicatingly lovely, a smell never to forget.......
A lonesome tree throwing out some shade
To sit and peruse the scenery ahead
Hills of gold from the rapeseed grown upon
A smidgen of cloud seeming to puff and begone
I am alone in this beautiful place
Now captured on canvas, I have just the space
In my study it will hang as I sit at my desk
Will remember this day when nature put my art to the test.

Sun is shining, all is well
Lovely summer they foretell
Found winter clothes so restraining
All is well, sun is shining.
Fields of rapeseed, like molten gold
Enjoyed by children freedom untold
Run in the shade amongst the sheaths
Like molten gold, fields of rapeseeds
Let's have a picnic, we're hungry
So much running will get sticky
Dressed in shorts looking oh so chic
We're hungry, let's have a picnic
Pies and sandwiches, lemonade too
Will be too full to run and jump, so
will rest my head, so full with such riches
Lemonade, pies and sandwiches.

What a friend we have in Jesus
Words of a well known hymn
Do we realise what he gives us
We who try to live like him.
He has given us glorious sunsets
The bright awakening dawn
The fields so green and luscious
Rapeseed and ripening corn
Those who have these luxuries
Are we better than the rest
Better than the poor countries
Dried up pastures for their beasts
Why has he made the divide
What is the meaning of it all
We the lucky ones should be sending
Unending help when they call
Charity begins at home
Is the saying known that's true
Where lives are concerned
World wide help should follow through
Food and water are natures bread basket
Sun and rain fall into place
Fair for all should be the answer
Hope and help an important race.
Warring and fighting is not easy
Farmers and cattle are dying there
Bow your head and ask for answers
Take it to the Lord in prayer
