Premium MemberMorning Glory

A songbird sings of morning glory,
twittering homage to Dawn's first light.
And ebony shadows fade to shade
as they lose the protection of Night.

The sun rises from a scarlet shroud,
draping itself in a golden hue.
And shining above Earth's eastern rim,
light paints the sky a robin-egg-blue.

Blood tints the clouds cotton candy pink
as the heart of Night's pierced by Dawn.
And, soon, color is fully restored;
while dew sprinkles glitter on the lawn.

Butterflies and bumblebees waken;
as a new day slowly fills with sound.
And Hope renews with every sunrise:
it's not lost; it's waiting to be found.

Premium MemberWalking Sadly, Slowly

I am suddenly walking so much slower.
Drowning in my deepening sadness,
As the autumn leaves shower
Unto me as I feel life is meaningless.

Premium MemberArising Sun

Horizon becomes lighter.
Sunrise becomes brighter.
Sky becomes paler.
Clouds become whiter.

Premium MemberBlue Morpho

Blue butterflies reflect in my eyes
But you say all you can see is blue skies.
Blue butterflies then ascend to real skies,
As I finally begin to truly realize...

“creation is substantially nothing but a mere idea-play of Nature on the only Real Substance, God, the Eternal Father”
~ extract from ‘The Holy Science’

Ramana inquired, ‘Who am I?’
Strange it is, no one seems to know
We’re born in this form, which will die
Let’s find the truth in stillness slow

Senses look outward in the world
We assume we’re this body-mind
Lost in desires, we’re by thoughts twirled
The joy we seek, we fail to find

Watching thought spirals come and go
Dropping concepts, if we be still
Releasing cravings of ego
Voids within us on their own fill

Although thoughts cease, we yet exist
As pure awareness self-aware
No to-do list, we’re a bliss mist
Thus with heart of God, we so pair

Ego dies, space and time too fade
We then see our true form as light
At peace in God’s heavenly glade
Love’s imbibed to our heart’s delight

God alone is and we’re as He
He dwells in us and we in Him
That life is a dream we now see
Projected because of God’s whim

When thoughts cease, we metamorphose
Ego dies and we are reborn
Our Self glows in tranquil repose
Death of form is no cause to mourn

Squirrel

My friends are such a squirrelly bunch,
they like to eat nuts for lunch.
And when you think they are done,
they eat some seeds just for fun.

Premium MemberCome To The Waters

As the heavens are higher than the earth,
    so are my ways higher than your ways
    and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55  vs 8

"My thoughts are higher than your thoughts, says Father"
I come to the waters, an empty mind.
Fill this vessel of your needy daughter.
A new way of thinking, I shall find.

In the beginning, God framed the universe
with infinity beyond human thought.
"Come to the waters all of you who thirst."
The Father's wisdom abounds to be taught.

I cannot dare compare my thoughts with Him,
the omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient.
The waters are a cleansing release from sin.
Yet, Father is that atonement sufficient?

Come to the waters and listen to their song.
Close your eyes, hear the force of the tides.
Riding on the waters, are voices of a storm.
We understand as the Father confides.

A Lonely Season

Crisp chills of air betwixt the leaves;
Uninterrupted,their autumnal descent.
Shed from clusters of molting trees,
Color fades from limbs barren and bent.

Branches shiver in the shifting wind,
Foretelling colder times to come.
Wynorrific,a blood red moon
Strikes fear into the hearts of some.

Dreary clouds adorn the sky,
As mist enshrouds the ground.
Moonlight shadows cast ambient
Cascades of darkness all around.

Loneliness seems surrounding
Throughout this season of change.
Twysts and Turns of Time
Make no two years the same.

Though ever-changing in its nature,
Autumn holds a coveted place
Midst two giants of hot and cold;
A perfect meld of temperate solace.

Hence is Autumn's epitome:
Change and Desolace reign king;
Of Winter's deathly grip
The prophetic winds do sing.

Brown Eyes

Reminiscent of a doe
with a hue as rich as earth,
your gaze takes me home
to a cedar-filled hearth.

Welcoming like hot chocolate
and as vibrant as autumn's leaves,
your stare carries the life
that Mother Nature herself weaves.

Neutral, yet expressive—
as versatile as leather, but still so alive—
your eyes are the gemstones
favored by the sun and I alike.

The Mentor

"The more in science we advance,
The more do we grow," you say;
Still, Nature's love, abundance
Forgive us all in every way.

She lessons us to endure
Just like the green grasses do;
We, humans, can't all ensure;
We fail to remain pure and true.

Time's supposed to take all away;
She teaches all how to accept;
Rise and fall, the night and the day
Pass on, as per the global concept.

I can't breathe, I run, I run
In the lap of Nature;
"There'll be the moon and the sun,"
Tells me the Great Teacher.

Life must, must have turns and bends;
Life gifts us melody;
My frail heart now comprehends
There must be threnody.

A Twinkling Tree

A tree twinkles one summer night
Fireflies turn on the evening light
Without sorrows, without wrinkles
One summer night, a tree twinkles

The flashes rule the dark shadows
Without wrinkles, without sorrows
Delightful view, distant from fuel
The dark shadows, the flashes rule

In gentle air, away from blue
Distant from fuel, delightful view
These bugs display lightning fun flare
Away from blue in gentle air

Lightweight lanterns, near quiet quay
Lightning fun flare, these bugs display
Spark ignited as mangrove burns
Near quiet quay, lightweight lanterns

Premium MemberRainy day

Thunder roars like a passing train
Skies open it begins to rain
Rain drops on leaves of the tree
Sparkling crystals the eyes can see

Dark clouds pass quickly by
Sun peaks out high in the sky
Soil is wet, plants start to grow
On the horizon a beautiful rainbow

Year After Year

Let the rain fall through the town
From the hills, all around
Watch the flowers grow in sync
They'll stand tall but don't you blink
Then the time of laugh and cheer
Which will never disappear
Fog stays the most of all
Soon after the leaves fall
The chilling age in time is here
With snowfall always near
The year repeats time again
But the joy that came will stay

Premium MemberIn Talons Sharp

 Beneath the river, creatures swim
 Hope's a sliver, their fate is grim
 Their fate is grim, hope's a sliver
 Creatures swim beneath the river

 An eagle's prey in talons so sharp
 Predators play upon the scarp
 Upon the scarp, predators play
 In talons so sharp an eagle's prey

 Soaring high above the vast plains
 In the sky, where the eagle reigns
 Where the eagle reigns in the sky
 Above the vast plains soaring high

 Their sharp eyes scan for their next meal
They set their plan with zest and zeal
 With zest and zeal, they set their plan
 For their next meal, their sharp eyes scan

Premium MemberHis Everything

His taste in music feels oh so oceanic.
His touch makes me feel so cosmic.
His voice, like his favourite songs, so angelic.
His mode of seduction makes me so manic.

His place makes me feel so at home.
His city a place where we will gladly roam.
His openness makes me want to write a tome.
His caring nature makes me want to write a poem.

His spirit comes across as so welcoming.
His communication makes me feel a longing.
His smile as warm and bright as the sun shining.
His heart so tender, so sweet, and so loving.

His gentle enthusiasm makes me happy.
His calming aura makes me refuse to be snappy.
His lovemaking always makes me moan softly.
His love for me seems to come so naturally.
