First Quarter Moon
The first quarter moon wants me to
learn to
speak curly hair language. If I don’t their
rage concerning being bullied by
prunes the size of
cement trucks will
cause: more cracks in
paths. The first quarter moon also wants me to
take a
wallet out to
dinner. Wallets love to
treat themselves too, but they won’t go out to
dinner unless
asked; eat my trash to
help reduce trash waste; take vacuums out
jogging. Vacuums thrive in
sweat. The first quarter moon also wants me to
soak a
filing cabinet in
banana juice. It stops their sporadic
shivering. The first quarter moon also wants me to
decorate tissues. Decorated tissues feel
sexier when
decorated. And finally the first quarter moon wants me to
roll scented candles down
the west driveway. Candles crave
dizziness. It calms
them.
Quarter moon - so way up high
In darkened blue - in morning sky
It makes me think - when I see blue
Thoughts of you - how do...you do
Before the sun - lifts up her nose
And the stars still wink - and the moon still glows
I close my eyes - and I think my mind
Searching for - the thoughts to find
That shows my heart - that shows my love
From that quarter moon- so high above
To keep it's glow - on you, my friends
Even by chance - your life, it ends
By chance, I'm gone - I flap my wings
I hope the quarter moon - it still brings
To all my friends - a glowing light
To makes your lives - a brighter bright
glowing fragrant June
so lustrous on black waters
rare are golden nights
most green croaking frogs
slow fireflies at hide and seek
treetop lullabies
sweet summer midnight
in dreams I feel moon's caress
pouring through the panes
Quarter moon, hung low in the velvet sky
Bring a smile to a heart which dares to try
I hear you call to distant stars, ‘come out and play’
As warm summer nights crown the lazy days
Sweet contentment and peace saturates my soul
Shooting stars sail night skies, fall where, I do not know
Absorbing the grand magic, I lay in repose
Recalling childhood dreams now deposed
While I'm basking in splendor and drift into slumber upon this chaise
May I awake at day's break and still feel as much cheer
