i’m here, nor there, sometimes everywhere
a storm brewing
inside i’m darker
i’ve sailed these seas before
repetition becomes habit
take me back to simpler times
an early childhood memory
just one day when i didn’t allow myself to be consumed
by ruminating
i collect my thoughts
after time i realize the tea is hot, and it makes me anxious
and that i’m really just a hoarder
a collector knows what she likes to collect
to hold onto what’s fallen behind you can kill you
i don’t want to be stuck, but how does one move forward?
some days i wonder why i envy the pretty sunflowers
to be authentic is a destination
the shadow self wants to dance
the land though the wardrobe
i’d like to see it one day
I’ve stopped caring if the world likes me
with age comes a ‘no ****'s given’ attitude
red mohawk
punk rocker girl i don’t think about you too much
try hard, or don’t try at all
either way, the end is coming

Gray haired man hobbling down the hall
Forty years of pictures hanging on the wall
From diapers to kindergarten and their very first bike
That time at the beach when we flew our first kite
Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts, T-Ball & soccer
Dressed up on Halloween as a little punk rocker
Camping trips & Disney World more than I can count
These were my best years without a doubt
Grammar school, high school, college then gone
Married your sweethearts & have your own little home
A timeline of treasures with family and friends
It seems like yesterday when we first moved in
As I gaze over the memories of the ones I adore
A tiny little human comes crawling on the floor
Grandpa! I love you! The little child speaks
As the tears of joy flows down my wrinkled cheeks.

The Thanksgiving feast was a shocker
When the turkey danced, doing the flocker
As the family looks on
Pour glasses of patron
Then assume the turkey was a punk-rocker

Remember how we used to sit next to each other in 7th grade. Till now you were a friend that always stayed. When others would talk about me..... You told me let go. Silence it set your yourself free. Not only were you beautiful outside. Your inside turned this man into what he was ment to be. You planted a sprout that turned into a great tree. I was a nobody that you had interest in. The place your friendship took me to made my world spin. I became this outcast just to fit in. Next thing I know you were along side. For some reason you stayed just for the ride. The innocent girl now a punk rocker. I'll hold you in my heart a unbreakable locker. God losing you hurts so bad im shaking. Know without you I wouldn't be a artist in the making. These words I write today wouldn't exist. We would say rebel make a fist!!! Even after you moved. The true friend you really proved. Made sure I was a good dad. To know your not without your makes me sad. Called my words sick. Said I was real to keep it slick. You left this world leaving a mark. Inside this chest you ignited a spark. So rest in peace. I know what you'd want. So these tears ill cease.

Punk Rocker a rebel’s cause?
Oligarchy rules within,
Emotions intact although
Timeless it seems when
Declassified, this
Exacting attention
Soon to reach out to each of us
The persecutor,
Rhythmical with opinion
Organized with intent
Yes with intent when
Enraged, effrontery
Rules. Mean while
Scars that penetrate
Lay within the mind,
Yielding actions that remind one
Life is not always about truth!
Intent sometimes wounds
Keying this into a memory
Especially after good design,
A place of tranquil light, it becomes
Frozen in time.
Only then the promise of true comradeship
X-Rayed.

I sit here at my desk, trying to find some
inspiration. I read the news and watch TV.
I see the entire world up close. Now tell me
again about inspiration. How can I write a
heart warming story with all the ugliness
I see.
Actors and ball players make all that money
while people's children go to bed hungry.
All the greedy politics that go on, while
death tallies abroad on foreign soil.
Let me get this straight, I write a line or
two and make it all go away. If I could do
all that, man hold on to something. But I
just sit here at my desk looking at all this
crap, of reality shows and all the millions
some punk rocker makes while he rolls.
Life's title is; "Give me all I can take".
There you have it, my inspiration for today.

Under the dark skies wanders the black cats
Ghost and goblins with candy sacks
Pumpkins with fangs or droopy frowns
A princess with a wand wearing a beautiful gown
Yellow lights and tomb stones
Ghostly sounds and shrieking moans
Cheerleader a zombie and a punk rocker
Frankenstein a mummy and the night stalker
Sponge bob blues clues and mickey mouse
Unicorns butterflies traveling house to house
Scarecrow witches Winnie the poo
Robin-hood Donald duck tiger to
Walkways lit up from the street light
Showing costumes on a brisk Halloween night
Chocolate bars chips and candy rockets
Children filling bags pumpkins and pockets
We see Dora the explorer swiper to
Bob the builder and Oh My What Are You
Pop peanut's popcorn and more
