Musicia

Where the stage manager sits
the occurance of defintion
defined as a position or a fill-in
 speakers along the proscenium
edge to counteract the effect
of the sound coming from the side
primary liaison between the director
, actors, designers, and technical crew.
blocking and cues
his responsibility was to make sure
all were in attendance for
rehearsals, and the scheduling
some are also responsible for set
designs and redesigns
wardrobe and furniture
lighting and sound
a communicative position
ensuring safety throughout
the whole company
" I often had been sad by what I thought I should be doing
my work help me focus: I meet my wife right here
in this theather, we worked together
I was capitivated by her work and work ethic
we married and never looked back",
 Passaggio and Chiaroscuro.
" Etude Musicia" she spoke
illustrating her work
Loving me illustrates her intentions"
Étude Love she said laughing.

Premium Member Swing, Sweet Child

Swing, sweet child
   Kick your legs high
Swing, sweet child
   Reach for the sky

The swing's your pendulum
   Gather momentum
The world's your proscenium
Elicit oohs and aahs from the plenum

Pull hard, sweet child, with all of your might
Extend your reach upward to maximum height
Rock the frame of the swing-set till the dusk of twilight
Your silhouette framed against newborn starlight

Your wondrous display of finesses linked with brawn
Has all those assembled cheering you on
As you soar over sandbox and adjacent green lawn
In your best party dress of pink lace chiffon ...

Swing, sweet child
   Kick your legs high
Swing, sweet child
   Reach for the sky

How To Turn Left

Stand under the proscenium arch
Listen to show tunes till doomsday comes
Dawn with the songs of ever lasting darkness

Tap dance your last dance on Broadway
Burn the last lime light down
Take midnight with you
Pay no tolls until you are told to
When leaving New York City

Buy a Hybrid Prius on the road
Equipped with liberal intentions
With a west coast radio and global warming controls
With a turn signal leaning left
Place your index finger and thumb on it
Push down until you get to somewhere rainy
Stop!
Think before you start

Follow signs to California
Wait for a fault line crack to appear
Watch it become a Democrat
Move gently and friendly towards green
Hug a tree for me

Never become an old white man
Elect some one young with hair
Avoid bald spots at all cost
And railroad Catholic crossings

Register as a Liberal
Turn on CNN
Read the New York Times

Just stop! ….. I'm getting car sick
Let me out
Time well spent is behind you
Who needs a mind when you own a Prius

What Is a Sunset

"A sunset is the proscenium between Heaven and Earth
where Gods reminds us that he is
 always close by."

COPLA 66 INVOCATION: This Bad Guy World

High ideals aims des hautes visées
To stand on tested principles
You don’t reward

For You it’d seem sometimes nausée
You caution mixing with infidels
To move forward

You set the main stage for villains
Who romp and jump on proscenium
Cashing the light

You let the trodden poor in chains
Serve morons without premium:
You call this right

Actors All
            by Odin Roark

To fool
Or be fooled
Innate competition for
Life’s continuance sweepstakes

Real life’s honesty
Knows survival of the fittest
Relies on impression’s armament
One’s tightly woven costume of persuasion
Ever ready to defend strategy’s patience

Curtains rise

Settings come alive
Footlights’ massage
Spotlights’ invite
As staging presents
Seduction’s heroes and heroines

Intermission

The persuaders
And persuaded
Take respite
As presentation’s set-up and conflict
Prepares regroupings
Making ready the resolve

Closing curtain

Applause fades
Marquee goes temporarily dark

But just as the next opening
Opts to repeat tried and proven choices
Whether performer
Or audience
The art of persuasion
Continues to evolve

Gradually

Acting’s duality of purpose
Will fade-out separation’s proscenium arch
Opting to invite spectators on stage
Where applause and bows will become one
Where separate identity will cross over
Forging audience and players as one
Making the we/them question moot

Yes
The Bard was right
