Prince Philip Poems | Examples

death of the queen elizabeth

Elizabeth was our queen for such a long time,
diamonds on her crown will always glow and shine.
Twenty years she was our majesty all those years on the throne,
When her prince Philip died she felt all alone.
She continued our queen a little more while,
kept herself strong and continued to smile.
Then the day cam told she was dying,
the nation heard the news, communities were crying.
The eighth of September Twenty Twenty Two,
the queen passed away in her favourite colour blue.
That day in September she fell asleep,
that's when the nation all began to weep.
She was with prince Philip since Nineteen, Forty, Seven,
now they are together way up there in heaven.
Philip held her hand and led her the way,
to a place where kings and queens were monarchs every day.
She wore a special crown or halo known by some,
she is happy to see in heaven they are worn by everyone.
The queen her reign had come to an end,
Seventy years she served our country as the nations friend.
We will always remember the queen the one we will always love,
Now she's with her Philip in heave way up above,
now i end this story emotional for some
God save our queen her work on earth is done.

Adieu, Royal Highness

Goodbye, Prince Philip
A man who stood steadfast by the woman he loves
... and helped her lead a nation to glory
May your afterlife be a tranquil journey

Goodbye, Prince Philip, husband of the Queen, age ninety-nine.
Thank you, for giving up prince hood from Greek and Danish lines.
Thank you, Royal Navyman, for setting prisoners free;
thanks for wildlife protection and awards as D of E.

Dance Like No Others

A dance like no other

Ghana had declared independence from the tyranny of British rule, and much was at stake.
As the building of a dam project, gold and diamonds.
The Russians had been trying to use the situation to their advantage; something had to be done.
The English queen flew to Ghana and met the new president.
In the evening, he asked her up to dance, and they were a perfect match.
In his strong muscular body, she melted and became
A warm, willing woman.
A waltz of gods.
When coming back to Britain, her husband, prince Philip got a surprise
and nine-month later, a new prince called Andrew was born.
Alas, he was a spoilt prince but was protected by his mother
she had her memories.
Andrew is now a neglected prince who, middle-aged and fat,
roams the castle but is for now protected.
It was a pity the fire in her loins could only produce an utter failure.

Your Strength Your Rock

To lose the true love of your life
A devastating blow
Even when expected
It breaks your heart to see him go
No longer here to share your life
To talk things through
To comfort you
To see the twinkle in his eyes
So sad to witness his demise
Together for so many years
Your strength
Your rock
has gone

When duty calls
you’ll find your strength
for still your rock
will help you carry on…

Prince Philip

He didn’t make 100
So there’ll be no birthday fest
But the Windsor Castle Chapel
Is where he will lie at rest.

Prince Philip died at 99;
The flags will fly half-mast,
With ceremonies more subdued
Than in pre-Covid past.

The Queen and all her subjects
Will join in to mourn the Duke,
The public told to stay away,
Though not with much rebuke.

The question that’s on all our minds,
The answer far from clear,
Is whether Harry and his wife
Will buck up and appear.

The Winning Post

The Winning Post

I had one of those rare moments , a time when synchronicity flows with grace ....We met informally many many years ago whilst out and about in The Great Park ... I challenged HRH Prince Philip to a race .... he smiled a beautiful smile with his genuine eyes , a genuine chap smiling at a genuine lady and it made our day ....
God Bless
