In the depths
of the imagination
we can see
sights
which have their own dazzling truths
I taste life through a prims constructed
by my hopes
Far from reality
one can see
new lands
Visit them
for your time is brief
the hourglass will run out - I assure you
Visit for your future happiness
have faith in your inner resources
Only that can break reality's deadly grasp!

A majestic golden eagle
wakens to the cool morning air.
And preens and prims its flight feathers
grooming each with diligent care.
Flies buzz over yesterday’s kill
scraps warmed by the rays of the sun.
And as night shadows disappear
darkness is defeated, dawn’s won.
A tree top branch provides a perch
from which it can survey the land.
And launching high into the sky
its territory's swiftly scanned.
Hungry fledglings flex feathered wings
stretching formidable muscles.
And the approach of their mother
is greeted by sibling tussles.
While calling and circling close by
she urges them to do their best.
And the eaglets take to the air
no longer shackled to their nest.

I roll these words in the mere moment
off the cuff....
without posy (prims)
to say hello,
(ad-lib is the Lion)
A Beggar in the mud....
for a lighter brush;
with less darkness in verse,
She has fallen....
from grace,
I shudder ----
how wan the dying rose!
Her petals lilt,
(my wings plucked with shadow.....)
I've given all, but not enough,
love is absolute(ly).....
without delay in affection
I shall try to return with a rainbow
or two....
**(Wrote this 'off the cuff' for lack of material....)

The words paint a picture of peace and content
The winds shudder of past days descent
I follow the butterfly to see its route
Only to be distracted by a cascade so proud
I marvel at nature in its purest form
Birds chirping noisily looking for worms
Way up yonder my eye catches a glimpse
Of an eagle so majestic look how how it prims
My heart opens to receive natures gifts
Splendinly alluring lifting my spirits
