I had been feeling restless for some time,
But today, I awoke in the afternoon
Feeling truly at peace for the first time.
A sense of calm enveloped me,
Along with focus and drive,
As a myriad of emotions surged within,
Like a soldier readying for battle, he rides.
The burden had lifted,
In its place, victory stood firmly,
Next to the kin that surrounded me.
I wondered who this entity was,
That has taken shape, shining.
His head held high,
In perfected pridefulness.
If he was tailored for this purpose?
Though I felt grounded,
My victorious battle was the pinnacles!
Pearls of wisdom on this journey.
Direction seemed to emerge,
Greeting me with a handshake.
This profound state,
An altered consciousness,
I questioned; am I home?

Losing the ego
Swallowing your pride
Embodying your philosophy
Metamorphosis - manifesting inside
The ego you carry
Around in your head
The illusion of importance
Sense of self; dead
The ego craves attention
Loquacious; trivialities all the time
Desiring affirmation
Pompous thoughts in his mind
Validation is necessary
Recognition a must
Exposing the façade
The ego gets crushed
Losing the ego
Curtain close for the show
The end of an image
Liberation - letting go
Now you’re in charge
You’re content being you
Pridefulness lowered
Character comes through
Humility in life
Being true to yourself
Conquering the ego
Mastering of oneself
“The ego is only an illusion, but a very influential one. Letting the ego-illusion becomes your identity that can prevent you from knowing your true self. Ego, the false idea of believing that you are what you have or what you do is a backwards way of assessing and living life”
-Wayne Dyer
The Great Blue Heron always does its best
While hatching, fledging, high atop its nest;
With Nature’s rhythms every day is blessed,
As surely as the Sun sets in the West.
The heron pair take turns to go on quest,
Come back to tend the young, by life possessed;
When one departs, the other stays at rest,
With awesome grace.— At camera’s behest,
I watch and wonder, uninvited guest.
Men seek conceits, awards, to be conferred,
Then strut and fret with pridefulness absurd;
Some dote upon a poet’s every word…
But I’d prefer to be more like that bird.

Almond blossom, not amaryllis...
sweetness against pridefulness.
Say it with some intense feeling...
seek that flower expressing loving.
Almond blossom or lemon blossom...
revering love with an incredible charm.
Childness must not be unfaithfulness...
feel the sublimest joy of blessedness.
There are sweet memories with a primrose...
be captivated by a cheerful, delicate pink rose.
Almond blossom over a bunch of beauties...
you wouldn't let your choice ruin possibilities.
Oh, did you forget about the white water lily?
You may need it for truthfulness and fidelity.
