Notes About The Poem

Todd Bradley's Portrait

This man here is my childhood best friend and

I haven't seen him for twenty-plus years.

Well, he is indeed the entity that played messenger,

and a long-ago friendship was rekindled.

Since I moved here, the kindness, respect,

and support of his friends even,

as if this was some kind of a Deja Vu here,

and felt I knew them already. A Devine Intervention!

Waken

I had been feeling restless for some time,
But today, I awoke in the afternoon
Feeling truly at peace for the first time.

A sense of calm enveloped me,
Along with focus and drive,
As a myriad of emotions surged within,
Like a soldier readying for battle, he rides.

The burden had lifted,
In its place, victory stood firmly,
Next to the kin that surrounded me.

I wondered who this entity was,
That has taken shape, shining.
His head held high,
In perfected pridefulness.
If he was tailored for this purpose?

Though I felt grounded,
My victorious battle was the pinnacles!
Pearls of wisdom on this journey.

Direction seemed to emerge,
Greeting me with a handshake.
This profound state,
An altered consciousness,
I questioned; am I home?

The Spirit within me where He dwells. He was the true center point of my epiphany as I slept and has much more depth than I could write. Brought me clarity. Warm Regards, William

William, your poem expresses how dealing with feelings can seem like a battle. Not an easy feat at all to feel good. You're bringing a smile to my inner self this morning. TY!!

Duke, I'd like to thank you first of all. You have spoken profound words to me, and I'll pounder every word you've said. Unknowingly, you were the messenger that delivered an answer to a prayer said long ago. Because of this, our friendship will remain forever, in this time and after this life. I try to find the good in everyone, being right or wrong. Sir, I'm at a loss here for words, but I know you are a genuine soul. Everything is beautiful to me, a philocalist,(rare word,) that finds beauty in all things being. I am just a servant living the best I can for a God who blew life into my lungs and brought me to breathe. But you've brought me confidence, uniqueness, and compassion, and to me, that's a trait and a man worth knowing. God's Blessings to you, and may they find you abundantly. Have a Great Day! Warm Regards, William

Hello William, your poem beautifully encapsulates a transformative journey from restlessness to profound peace. I loved the imagery of emotions akin to a soldier's preparation and victory replacing burden. Your introspection on newfound clarity and purpose evokes a sense of wonder and gratitude. It's a testament to the resilience of the human spirit amidst life's uncertainties. Wonderful! - Blessings, Daniel
