Willows In The Wind

We went for a walk, one windy day,
through the woods, and along the way,
she said to me, "If you please,
let's sit a while, it would make me smile,
beneath these shady willow trees."
Yet, as just then, a gale-like gust blew by,
in apprehension, I asked her, "Why?"
And with a flirt, a lift of skirt,
the lady promptly did reply,
"On my first date, not to prevaricate
or equivocate, I don't osculate.
It's not the wind beneath my wings,
or a draught up the shaft I love,
but the breeze between my knees."

Pivot

Perhaps we can
Prevent committing
Perjury if we can
Pivot away from
Prevarication long enough to
Posit the truth when
Presenting ourselves at traffic court

openness

Tonight Im going to stop the cavalcade
stumble out of care, mid air
and perform openly
prevaricate unabated,
off queue i may be !
but that's where i want it to be
every stoney smile will be mine

Vision

Mr Edwards has gone to bed
he is trying to forget
what is gnawing at him,
a self made man
he cant help but prevaricate

Mr Jones is glad
across the fields
daffodils sway
he is an younger version
his vision is different
but the sun is still shining

You sit with memories
talking to the flowers
they have so much to say
the streets are lined with gold

Coming Home

thorns roam across my forehead
a thousand squirms prevaricate,
of the silhouetted sun dance
the ice cream man can only melt
hounds and the hustlers
rejoice under beam
the dead had quietly spoke
confession talks falsely
the hour is late
two adders are approaching
the wind began to howl
are we not the victims of the war
the steeple guard reigned
clearing the morning air

Premium MemberYour Smile Is a New Poem

I am not going to swear
Yes, your smile is a poem
I am saying: je t'aime
I love you with ardor
With all my strength and force
Yes, I'm all right and not lost
Your smile is absolutely beautiful
And you are unbelievably wonderful
When I see you, I am energized
I am extremely happy to rise
To the great occasion and to be inspired
By your style and your proper attire
Nikkie, I don't like to prevaricate or to swear
Your smile is a gorgeous poem
That I wrote and edited
Your smile is a precious poem
That I loved and recited
Yes, Chérie je t'aime
I can no longer carry or bear
These powerful inner feelings
I discretely brought you a few rings
I hope one day that I will be able to relinquish them
To you, without seeing my love wrecking the dam
The barrier, the boundary, the door, anything on the way
Yes, where there is a will, there exists a pathway
Darling, your smile is an amazing poem
And I am relieved to say: je t'aime
I love you dearly, ich liebe dich, ti amo, te quiero
Yes, I'm inspired; I can feel the sacchariferous arrow.

Signs

The sky is angry at me
maybe I have not reached high enough,
have taken the short-cuts
and missed the bigger picture.
It has been a tedious year
yet my friends are closer now.
Have I left any footprints
or has the pavement buried
my fleeting presence?
Some ask, why I don't publish
my mind into a poetry book.
I prevaricate, hesitate, negotiate
with impervious angels.
Time ticks on
my honeymoon with death
is getting personal.
I think I recall a former life
when I was the most golden
in a golden field of corn.
Tall with bold of eye,
but that being is now weary
of the way I have dictated his words.

Premium MemberRaise 'Em Right and Watch 'Em Lead

So many ask
   What can we do?
The world's gone to pot
   Come completely unglued

Return to the Basics
   Commandments One (and Two)
The first is Be Fruitful - 'P'ru' *
   The second, Multiply - 'Ur'vu' *

Get married, have children
as many as you possibly can
Raise 'em up right, and watch ~
One day they'll rule the land

Not the Bidens or Trumps
nor the Obamas or Clintons ~
Our children won't prevaricate or lie
Our children will stare an enemy
                             straight in the eye

______________________________________
* 'P'ru' means 'Be fruitful' and 'Urvu' means
'Multiply' in the Hebrew language, the language
of Genesis and the Old Testament. Together
they actually constitute the first commandment
in the Bible: "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the
earth and subdue it."

Premium MemberChoosing Sides

I was once for compromise.
Then I came to realize.
That when you go for middle ground,
Both sides wish to shoot you down.
Well, they should.
For you are no good;
When too timid to choose a side
And in the center wish to hide.
Please do not take this wrong.
We should all attempt to get along.
Jesus never tolerated hate.
He asked us all to relate;
But he never did equivocate,
Hesitate, prevaricate, or vacillate.
He always claimed that he was boss;
Even when nailed upon the cross.

Country Named Absurd Cordel

Country named land of the absurd
             mix truth and lie
whoever speaks the truth is mute
falsehood here is all quite right
Lie the politician and the priest
the judge and the witness falsify
             prevaricate simply and shamelessly
            and indulge themselves with impunity...
lying here is a real necessity
to deserve honor, glory and love...!

                                 II
Here the lie has long legs
here the truth wears short pants
there is further truth to the prostitute speech
than the political speech that is preach,
or the ideological word that delays...
                It's worth further sincere cheating
than a tie posing to be severe...
The faker who barks easier than a dog
or wiser pretending to be a prude
to deceiving everyone just one borg...!

Premium MemberHe's Many Things

He's many things, none are great
See what he's done as of late
It does effect our nation state
Many norms now under debate
He sows derision, so much hate
We wonder what will be our fate
He'll never get his story straight
Wish he'd not prevaricate
Truth can't escape his berate
No telling how long we must wait
Talk about ego, he takes the bait
What we want is to clear the slate
See what he's done as of late
He's many things, none are great

Premium MemberFind My Truth

I saw the truth lying around
Looked again, it can't be found.

Where it went when and why
Sorry, it must've passed me by.

Suddenly I'm feeling broken
Others say I've misspoken.

I'm tired pretending it's okay
To see my truth slip away.

I ought to see what is true
So I'll know what to do.

But it doesn't work that way
Lies most often get more play.

When I ask, they prevaricate
Don't deserve this, not my fate.

Truth prevails over lies
People's goodness long survives.

Whoever took it, they obfuscate
Bring it back, it's not too late.

Find my truth it will always be
Lies trap us in, let's be free.

Today I saw the truth lying around
Thought it lost but now it's found.

Videlicet: This Three-Notebooked Writing

Takes it a powerful, almighty congerie of the
Most toilsome and rigorous lucubration,
To write these, my poems...my poetries.
Or, insofar as declaring, do I
Attempt thus to prevaricate?
Is my literary legerdemain
And poetic prestidigitation and prognostication such that it
Requires little duty, less laboriousness, and a
Far lesser sort of toilsomeness to compose this,
My poetry?
This be the forty-fourth poetic work by my hand enwritten
In this hebdomadal period-
This week, in short.
Yes, in something lesser than a hebdomadal span, even
Did I complete, thus far,
This three-notebooked writing.
Quotidian was this writing and diurnal,
And hodiernally I can write little of the quondam poems:
Written in such a fervorous, blazing, blurring manner,
That I scarce am sure I canst rightly recall the composition of a solitary one.
