Preciousness Poems | Examples

Dear Governor

Dear Governor,

In this quiet, fleeting moment of reflection, I urge you to consider the preciousness of life, its fragile beauty that blooms even in the darkest hours. Though laws may seek balance, the human heart begs for mercy, for in the shadows of despair, there is always room for redemption.
Every soul, no matter how lost, holds the possibility of light. Let not the scales of justice be so rigid they forget to bend with compassion.
Extend your hand, not to punish, but to heal. Mercy is the highest gift you can offer.

With hope,

My Treasure

In a cold world, you are the warmth that comforts me
In the darkness of nights, you are the light that allows me to see

Such preciousness that cannot be set to a price
And there's nothing else that will suffice

A diamond glittering amongst seas of coal
My heart starts beating out of control

The only word that can describe
Such beauty that cannot transcribe

Is a treasure that I'll forever hold dear
As you whisper sweetness in my ear

My treasure is worth dying for
A thousand times over and more

Why and Because

Looking back at the time
the love that was
That certain beauty
the why and the because
The look of the eye's
made by God
Part of the answer
the why and because
The hair situated for applause
another of my reasons
the why and because
The magnetism of eye's that awe
that bothersome stare
the why and because
The preciousness of secret desire
not of lust but loves special power
The presence of dreams both day and night
The eye's definition of the gift of sight
My thoughts of her speaking if she might
and my idiotic response my sovereign right
Guarding my feelings with unwritten laws
another form of suffering
my why and because

Your inner colors,  make your life more active, passionate, and zestful. By Poet

Zenith of zeal and zonary of zealousness
It left me feeling as if I'd been enchanted.
In a man's aloof psyche lies preciousness.
Swiftly glide, by wide sea or sky, undaunted.
Hinder your hope zealous even if dreams die.
A bird with its pennons clipped can't fly.
Life is a bleak, frozen plain in the sway.
If you stayed awake with a zing and a zap
Put glory aside and pound it off with a rap.
Frost might have seen no spring in this gap.
Adopt each day with zeal and dreadlessness.
Feel sway all the way up till skies are slanted.
At its core, any demise should be given away.
Consider heeding this and reaching the cap.

The Local

Stupid Penny toys with her button
Biting her bottom lip, Frowning her brow
Misery pulls at her
Loneliness sucks
Fill voids with Mall time
Plastic replete.
Feeling so fulsome; flirting with clothes
Racks upon racks upon shelves upon drawers
Cover your colours up cleverly hide
Futile fickle figures flickering tinkering
Gripping and stirring and numbing and dumbing
Dutifully dip down diving in devilry.
Pens empower punters people pledge revenge
Pondering pointlessly pointing at pendulums
Wasting breath wasting life wasting time
Waste away get wasted get wanted
Get Wankered get wired
Glitching through roundabouts
Loopholing widely
Hold your box tightly its preciousness
Leaks your Lifeline runs swiftly
Through slackness and slime
It’s dirty It’s soiled now
It’s tainted. It’s gone.

NOTE:THIS IS AN OPEN(organic) FORM VERSE using spaces&breaks without grammatical symbols ,the ' open' relies upon 'the one breath limitation' & so inherently requires the 'reader' (reciter) to input and responds thus making this enigmatic form a two way interplay & interpretatIon unique to the moment& changing according to mood is inherently variable.

Premium MemberStrings Still Strong

lying lonely lost
languishing instruments play
best bridal chorus

old is gold they say
why should instruments lie down
they sing life and death

strings get broken true
does this mean they are untrue
turn them and tune them

preciousness is life
pass music of life to all
love's love. live. let live.

Premium MemberLove and the Wind

Love is one of those beautiful mysteries of life…we can’t control it…we can’t obtain it…and so…like most of life’s other beautiful mysteries…we look to nature to explain it.

Love is like the wind…it appears suddenly…out of the blue…
you don’t go looking for it…it finds its way to you.

There are times when the winds of love are gentle…you close your eyes and sway…other times they are strong enough to carry you away.

Like a cool breeze on a summer day that you’re happy to befriend…
once you’ve felt the winds of love…you don’t want them to end.

Alas, we do not control our love…anymore than we control a windy day…
for just as we know not when love will arrive…we know not when it will pass away.

It is only when love is taken from us…when the wind becomes a thief…
we realize its preciousness…and the price we pay…is grief.

But since so much joy rides on the winds of love…every moment of every day…
our eventual sorrow…our inevitable grief…is a price we are willing to pay.

For where would this poem be without the very wind it is speaking of…
and where would our lives be without the joy and happiness of love?

A Need Hidden By a Shadow

A need that is hidden by a shadow
shouldn't allow anybody to stoop low.

My search for the truth leads me to a discovery:
the longing for a shiny light, the yearning for God
is felt at times of hopelessness; my worry
and impatience knows what He can unfold
for a lonely who did not wish for a harsh fate,
for all the struggles and the strides, he made!

A need that is hidden by a shadow
shouldn't allow anybody to stoop low.

Luscious green lands created by God
and somewhat unexplored by Mankind...
show the stunning beauty of a garden
who once had harmony and was called Eden!

A need that is hidden by a shadow
shouldn't allow anybody to stoop low.

Ah, the oppressed and the meek
face a tomorrow frightfully bleak!
Much stringer is the loin that chases deer,
the weaker is the sheep that bleats out of fear!

A need that is hidden by a shadow
won't deter me from showing thankfulness
for the wonderful gift I received in a month of frost and snow;
I received life as a baby and later I realized its preciousness!

An Array of Vast Universes

Everybody says that forgetting
the one we loved is unfair, cruel, and silly;
don't attempt to bury recollections under rocks,
and instead of burning them completely,
express bitterness for a sad ending...
although the fervent sentiment never stops!

Search for the fondness of words,
delve deeper into your awareness
and the skeletons of regret won't rebuke
the conscience for the unappreciated value
of all the exciting life they led once,
and the preciousness they still constitute!

Does anyone admit that continue living
without forgiving is an act of unmercifulness?
Should we love ourselves more or less,
never appreciating the joy of giving and sharing?

Pierce the sunless skies with daring eyes,
beyond them, there's an incredible blueness...
not matched or displayed by waveless seas;
what lies ahead is an array of vast universes!

Perpetual worrisome pout turned ugly fast.

so he walked away, saving himself,

Premium MemberThe Preciousness of a Human Life

When we consider all the tragedies
that occurred in WW2 so very terrible
especially the loss of the Jewish people
so many so innocent utterly horrible

It beggars belief when we stop and think
consider the evil deeds on the innocent
everyone is equally human in the sight of God
morally distasteful, never thought it imminent

Every human life should be precious
for everyone whether rich or poor
every baby born is indeed a miracle
consider this for evil minds needs a cure

Be doing all you humanly can
that WW2 atrocities never to repeat
treat everyone with true respect
each deserves that for a first-class seat

(Just thinking of the atrocities of World War 2 in the evil done to the Jewish people young and old, pray that it wouldn't happen ever again.)

Premium MemberBring On the Night

*************
On velvet reams of cobalt carpet.
I embrace loves' memory portrait.

On streets, or in dancing memory,
Be thou, forever, in my dreams, plenary.

My dreams rarely of my own flawed
greatness.
But center on you, god of all
my love and preciousness.

In whispering, secret shadows doth we
in darkness lie.
In love with each other and the tender,
twirling stars of the sky.

Love for you, oh,doth keep my pen
moving!
Your hair, your eyes, forever my
soul be soothing.

Freedom

For all those who have protected our nation,
for the men and women wearing the uniform,
We thank you for the ultimate freedom.
Sometimes we forget the preciousness,
of the rare freedom which, makes us bless.
And have the goodness to be evident in our lives.

Having the freedom to make our own choices.
Are a better form of earthly policies.
The sacrifices were paid through death.
By the brave heroes who fought,
Their legacy continues today in the fight.
So that we may be free from death.
Uniform men and women providing freedom.
Memories graciously encircled them.
