Pods Poems | Examples

Premium MemberThe Gray Pods

In pods, pale and emaciated-
muscles atrophied,
their eyes behind thick goggles
deflecting stroboscopic lights-
they sit for hours with empty smiles.

Each human in a private pod
lost in grounded bliss:
every want and need, fulfilled
by technological AI wonders;
instant information and amusement.

Touch of a button simulation
to other places via virtual reality-
the world unto themselves;
lives filled with at-whim commands;
their necessities- delivered by drones.

A bleak view- future existence;
lone humans in gray sunless pods.
Traveling to unknown places-
eyes blinded from reality
heading for grim, robotic essence.

Seed Pods of Friendship

As sudden, as unforeseen
As by which hand, in gusts
Heart to heart does flick.
As burs felt then stick.

And as unlikely, across
Which space, insurmountable
Divides, immense is
For the differences.

Premium MemberMother Earth's Pods Seeds and Sprouts

Mother Earth chooses her pods, seeds and sprouts wisely.
Gently nurturing fruits, vegetables and a variety of nuts.
Her naked goodness oozes out, saturating the souls of the recipients.
She is careful to nourish her children in a multitude of tasty ways.

icy fingers grip
small hibernating seed pods
awaiting spring rain

Premium MemberThree Pea Pods - Nursery Rhyme

Three pea pods on the vine
Odd wee bee walks entwine
Twitch, squish it is bewitched
Which three peas snap a wish

Fly lights on the pod
Sniffle the pea bloom awed
Fly sees three, jumps so pleased
Flip, flip, flip twitches its wings

Bird spied the bee and fly
Swoop down, down, down awry
Three pea pods on the vine
Bee and fly flee to eglantine

Premium MemberI Pods I Phones I Pads

I pods
I phones
I pads
Eye like them all

Weirdly enough they all contribute to more
Me time
I time
Me and I
I and me

Enjoying myself greatly
Doing what I want to do
Compromising with no one

Word games
U-tube
My own song list

I pods
I phones
I pads
Eye like them all

Premium MemberWould We Know What Lmao Means

What if electronics had never been invented?
Would people be as rude to each other?
What if we had no I-phones?
Would we still be talking in person?

What if the child did not have its own TV set?
Would it still talk to its parents?
What if social media had never been invented?
Would we know what LMAO means?

Premium MemberDandelion Pods

Dandelion pods rescued by thoughts riding
the wind, a gorgeous place to leave your
cares...no different than perhaps a
lottery ticket, do you know your lucky
numbers are frequencies mapping
presence, seeing, feeling, knowing
a moment of punctuated equilibrium
nurtured onto a grid exemplifying matter
phosphorous trails fill the patterns
attempts to make sense of it all
nature the backdrop for the play of life
here to there and no one cannot know
differences exist, gaps occur and some
day the matrix will fall through the ground.

Premium MemberThe Gray Pods

In pods, pale and emaciated-
muscles atrophied,
they sit behind thick goggles
deflecting stroboscopic lights;
huge headsets droning weird sounds.

Each human in a private pod
lost in grounded bliss:
every want and need, fulfilled
thru technological wonders;
instant information, entertainment.

Touch of a button simulation
to other places, via virtual reality.
No need to travel.
Invited humans to visit in 3-D;
necessities, via robotic drones.

In pods, ashen and gaunt,
they sit: empty, smiles,
traveling to unknown places;
eyes blinded from reality,
heading for grim, robotic essence.

A bleak view, future existence;
gray humans in gray sunless pods.
The world unto themselves;
life via at-whim commands.
More to say on the progression-

but I have too much to declare.
