come let the Father speak His heart
In our minds
through our eyes
He sings melodies springs
past participle chose more alternatives;
Select offend means to
pick;
pick out sometimes means stand out
opt for means to wait;
plump for is gained weight;
go for means to go git it;
take may mean to steal it;
settle on means to accept
fix on means unbroken
vote for
single out get those men out of the Senate and Congress;
handpick means picking tomatoes and corn
set;
designate army buglers … hun!!!
determine, specify, appoint' name
nominate isn’t voting;
adopt doesn’t mean gathered family carriaged;
espouse doesn’t always mean marriage;
pitch on GET rich on

The penthouse of Donald J. Trump
Has pillows quite plump for your rump
But it’s filled to the hilt
With the wrong type of gilt
Which is why I’ve been stuck in a slump.
If the guilt I’d prefer were displayed
Then I wouldn’t feel quite so betrayed
But the sparkle of gold
Even fake, I am told,
Is sufficient, at times, to persuade.
In the White House, perhaps we’ll be graced
With some glitz in Melania’s taste
And there’ll be no debate
Once America’s great
All that gilt will be warmly embraced.

PUZZLED SMILES
When will we want what’s worthwhile?
Seems some children always choose wrong over right,
And adults’ alternatives are also selected with short-sight:
Perennial problem posed, from Adam’s to my puzzled smile.
To take a snake’s apple? Or grapple for goodness’ sake?
To plump for perdition, or select salvation?
