P erchance has anyone seen something fishy
I n the pot of soup we all like to eat?
R aucous spices of refute with long spikey teeth.
A re there some questionable ingredients that do
N ot blend well with all the others?
H ave you smelled the odor, the fishy stench they put out?
A dding a little more water may tame the flavor down.
I ngredients in a broth should compliment each other
N ot over power like the bitter taste of thistle weed.
T aste and see if the soup really needs any more salt
H ere's hoping some spices will not assault your tongue.
E njoying a bowl of soup should only bring dining pleasure.
S o be careful when you measure the spices from the shelf,
O r you might find you'll belch and have to spit it out.
U ntil you know what seasonings are thrown into the pot,
P lease don't let a piranha chef spoil the soup in the kitchen.

Quick as Piranha
Tucked in a booth in back,
the last customer of the day
cracks a fortune cookie,
sips Oolong as Mr. Hong
locks up. It’s time for his supper.
Two tall sons bear
from the kitchen dishes
his wife won’t allow
on the menu.
Platters of meat
red, green, brown
huddle and steam
in the middle of the table.
When the Hongs
drop in their seats
chopsticks fly
like beaks. So many bright teeth,
quick as piranha.

Hanibal the piranha
Along the Amazon he swam
Looking for juicy treats
Whether,
Animal, vegetable or man
As he swims through the waters
His teeth so razor sharp
Depending on what he eats
He inevitably goes parp
Then lots of little bubbles
To the surface they all rise
Where lots of little fishes
Hold their nose and close their eyes
This makes Hanibal the Piranha
Awfully, awfully angry
As they forget his razor sharp teeth
For in his belly he's feeling hungry
So he rushes through the waters
As little fishes dart and hide
Pacing about his territory
Who to eat, he can't decide
So all you little fishes
Who laugh when Hanibal parps
You'll have to watch your backs
Because Hanibals teeth are sharp

Riding down the Amazon,
carrying the pulse of everything,
waging a daily campaign by living
life where he finds it,
a piranha feeds for its happiness,
leaving nothing behind.
Time to dive, dive,
swim for your life.
