Pilloried Poems

God bless the striking nurses, pilloried by some.'
They and the postal people, are a gift to everyone
The human touch, and prescence near in times
Of victory doubt and fear, the stand in line so fine
A rationale, to employ tells better times we can enjoy
Stand with those who only care' we've seen very devil
Bare' unity now the only way, ! with essential sevices
We need every night and day..

I may be pilloried, tarred, and feathered
Let me say how America has weathered
The onslaught of divisive ne’er-do-wells
[Many of whom are now in prison cells],
The good people in this country stand up
Refusing to drink from a fomenting cup
Choosing to stand with those of integrity
Not with a disgruntled, angry minority,
Who would tear down our Democracy
And attempt to replace it with autocracy,
While setting up one pointy-headed fool
To take over our government and rule,
While lying and stealing from good people
Who loathe him, unlike his poor sheeple.
Patriotic Americans stand tall and proud
Avoid fools like this for cryin’ out loud!

Loosing the will to live,
It’s all vicarious anyway,
There must be more to life,
Than the pretence of everyday.

Turns out you got a raw deal,
That was not there yesterday,
Bad luck meant it wasn’t to be,
Nascent beauty was taken away,

Your resulting life is one big lie,
The truth won’t help it go way,
You have to see it through for now,
Vicarious in nature, one must stay.

So why the hell are you hiding,
Thats what others want to say,
Initially got dealt a good hand,
But now must cheat to play?

If the mark of Cain comes upon you,
Remains indelibly on display,
All will recognize the humiliation,
Of deformity you carry today.

When anxious look more hideous,
Idiots laugh, at a grotesque array,
Not wanting to get mocked or pilloried,
Vicarious life, that’s the price we pay.

This new election feels like rape,
By scum and playground toughs,
With many I once thought were friends
Now cowards, powder puffs.

Has Christian virtue lost its shine?
Republicans in charge?
No brother’s keepers in their ranks?
Racists and liars at large?

Well, half the voters still have legs,
I have not lost all hope,
Though anti-science may have won
Their leadership’s on dope.

Trump judges others for his crimes,
Christ crucified again,
When innocent are pilloried,
The guilty think they win.

A victory by grade school kids,
Impoverished of soul,
That waylay others after school,
Let God’s truth still console.

Your bones will mend, your bruise will heal,
Though Trump’s flag is unfurled,
This infamy will also pass,
It’s God who made the world!

Exile

He left his native abode
To build monuments
Under another sky

He burdened himself
With many a gift of piety
Borrowed no stale tidings

He left behind a tarnished reputation
Sociable clans conjoined-
Endure this tale of poverty

He no longer recites poems
No longer lops branches
For a richer view of the blue hills

Those gleaming delights
Paled into thoughts of grief
Plying his trade

Those sorrows of home
Goaded the exile’s heart
Oh, age of tenderness!

The years drifted by
Gentle elegance- stifled with dust
Obscured the delicate splendour
Of flowers along silver streams

His intellect could no longer
Discourse on philosophy
Nor his pilloried benevolence
Shed his woes

Balancing his frail fortune
On love and pride
He summoned sages
To counsel his Prefect.

Victims of Want

Had there flowed blood
In our peasants’ veins
We’d have built bridges
To join our several ridges.

Then the many exiled peers
Might re-cross the flooded streams
That had divided their dreams
And pilloried the science of seers.

But the fire of want
Had our people dehydrated
And those (like me) who bled yet
Were catalogued to a grim existence.

O posterity!
Do not disdain our delicacy;
For time is multiplex
And might your ship dis-mast!

Georgie Bush has been pilloried relentlessly by the liberal press!

He's been blamed for everything from (A)ids to this nation's (Z)aniness!

Too bad they cannot remove the log from their biased eye,

And see the miserable fix we are in with the current guy!

Showcase Crowds

Mingling showcase crowds gathering amid the contemporary chambers

Within this the modern day museum of the poisoned pilloried minds....

Subjugation piercing the thresholds beneath conscious perceptions views!?

Gazing as deeper into the contortions abstract of framework they go

Entranced assimilations aside artful disassociations; brushed with black

And blues colours and hews, of acrylic paintings hung upon the galleries

Mesmerizing, paradoxic walls growing collection in....

Seven Sins of Why

Boiled in international broth
soiled by an internal sloth
emphasizing the epiphany
gorged by an internal gluttony
salivating a want to succeed
griped by an internal greed
creative moments of clarity
enveloped by an internal envy
triumph built on trust
lynched by an internal lust
paved to form a new path
wasted by an internal wrath
collective thoughts collide
pilloried by an internal pride
