Phage Poems | Examples

Performer

I will not repeat myself in a song
Or among rumbles, crinkles, or prolong
My Tuesday remaining mostly cloudy
I am wet beyond pants and a hoodie
I give anyone the ear from the stage
Because I cannot tell which path is phage

20 Gently!

20 is the age,
That many feel,
Is life’s apex
A self view,
Dream’s engage,
Visions unreel,
Of Youth’s rare vortex,
Energy accent ague,
Center stage,
Focus visions steal,
From our older annex,
Simcha True!
Love gently, yet rage,
Agin’ emotion neuter unreal,
Cuddle is the text,
Sensate Focus is the rule,
Be infected via phage,
Of 20, Gently!

Premium MemberO, Meal Worm

A meal worm eats me like a gourd of flesh,
this slimy beast I dread; two weeks or more
until my heart's (that once was young and fresh)
a hole that brims with the plaque of its gore.

Soft-bodied, legless, and writhing, this meal worm,
like yeast that leavens a raw loaf of baked bread,
or phage that necrotizes like a germ,
consumes its host until it's thoroughly fed.

Elongated and portly, like a porcine
(a fat creature and ravenous parasite!)
with the over-sized appetite of a swine,
you threaten me with a sick, terminal blight.

But if I were the brave one, O meal worm,
I'd make a meal of you and watch you squirm!

Premium MemberSoul and Memory

Your memories perplex a confused mind.
A vast sea-like water spout erupts behind.
I morphed into what you were enduring.
We are once again being left in the wind.

Scars were tickled with scent of spring.
Tulip gardens and vivid hues are enchanting.
Hypnotic mind's remoteness is strange.
Using the ninth divine cloud, you lauding.

Dismal views would drive me strange.
I'd sing for the spirits of the carnage.
In my mind, the calm of today is gone.
Darken spots provide a unique phage.

Feeling in the heart as cold as scorn.
So, where is this mind going torn?
This is the mind's intrinsic norm.
Wherever darkness rules are born.

You can't discern truth from deform.
Yet, reality is a colorless transform.
Trust has been ripped and struck.
The only thing left is a bodily storm.

Sadness is the hallmark of the muck.
Left you with no clear plan of attack.
It's the saddest situation conceivable.
It is the master interface for all ruck.

Fear-Hope

Like a spear
Perambulating through flesh
Leaving a tear
Incessantly so fresh
Is fear

Like a macrophage
Nursing your gash
Pouncing bacteria in a phage
Rigorously in a flash
Is hope

Covid War - Ink

To conquer the kingdom, vainly he tried
Her minutest army ready for siege
Oh, the flying flu booming like a phage
Begging on his knees, for kindness he cried.

(The struggle between human and nature written in the backdrop of Corona Virus threat )

Premium MemberPandemic

Solo it came; embedded in the droves.
They covered bodies with once whitened sheets.
Assembly lines carry them to the stoves.
Stench of death and burnt flesh along the streets.

I am doubtful now of ignorance’s bliss.
Red flag; just another blown forewarning.
Death; ‘tis the season of our new abyss.
Where sorrow wakes us, to greet the morning.

Prayers now ending with the plead “please God’s Son!”
Overwhelmed worldwide by a lunar phage.
If only heed had been on precaution
existence may have bilked this final stage.

Solutions are socially systemic.
Every soul, a role. Prevent pandemic!

The Old Age

The wasted knowledge that comes with age,
Has become yet just pitted rage.
Each of us just turns a page.
Only play on a stage.
Left inside a cage,
Driving like phage.
Against swage,
Gauges,
Sage
