Pertaining Poems

Acquisition

The most authentic measure pertaining to exceptional intelligence (in my opinion) is the number of languages a person can speak fluent poetically; And the second one being technically endowed.

Premium MemberMy Hectic Hair History

There’s a nadir of personal despair -
In feminine terms it’s - No hair, no flair!

My hairy genes caused me lifelong distress,
I longed for a look I didn’t possess.

I daydreamed of golden locks as a girl,
Blessed with neither a wave nor with a curl.

Straighter than hay mine hang in disarray,
Cradle to coffin - lifelong bad hair day.

And so pertaining my hapless hirsute
I was braided, I ironed in my pursuit.

Slept with hard rollers, a perm I did try,
And lots of hairspray, that’s how I went by.

In vanity’s name I bent backwards in vain
Since straight and straighter my old locks remain.

No quiescent coiffure is meant for me -
Distressing tresses are my destiny.

Premium MemberIn A World Where I Do Not Exist

In the world, where I do not exist is the world
without love and creative minds for people in it
have no emotion or natural intelligence for they
act like robots for everything is done for them.

They do not smile; they wave a hand to say, hi!
They do not laugh that those sounds of a belly
laugh, when your stomach hurts, is non-existent.
They do not speak words of love that give butterflies.

They do not think for everything is programmed.
All they must do is choose and push the buttons
pertaining to the work or activities they need to do
in the world of automation or advanced technology.

Creative minds with creative thinking applied in
various careers or arts are considered nothingness.
They use artificial intelligence using machines,
sensors, electric cars in their real world …

A world so monotonous, repetitive, tedious, dull.
A world lacking in excitement, lacking authenticity,
so boring for people with creative minds, such as
artists, musicians, poets, like me is not in it ...

I …

loved you all
in my way … obviously
starkly different
as pertaining to our particular bonds
(covalent, in most respects)
each, a glyph to form words in
the phrase of Us …
only one left to my indifferences
(regret requires as much)
the rest …
critical elements, idiosyncratic
shaping this ‘who’ -
weaving his fabric as needed
to be the creation that
was required
or that his modes assumed to be
appropriate for the Other …
summarily ..
you, each and all -
I am your creation, indifferent
your ‘opus apathetic’
and if it is that elemental
fiber that brought you to rejection
then I am not the apple
for your arrow …
not that liability is required
but, if like the other of your ilk you
seek reasoning, party or charge -
any reflection of even
moderate pixelization will suffice
and any rational alibi can
serve as sufficient garland to
grace the dubious, dim
illusory crown
upon your barren …

brow.

AFTER THE FLOOD

AFTER THE FLOOD

After the flood has subsided
With insurance claims made
Pertaining to the destruction
There’s all the reconstruction
The memories will never fade
And reluctant moves decided

Now leaving a riverside location
After years of increasing prices
Insurance premiums now sky high
And still the ground is not dry
Fearing a repeat of such a crisis
And little advance information

Perhaps a home on a mountain
But never on a low marshy plain
Nor situated by a body of water
Flooding offers few any quarter
Is our future to be constant rain
Drains overflow like a fountain

It’s climate change, they all say
But there’s been floods before
Seas just a metre or two higher
In coastal regions it will be dire
It’s history, so just talk to Noah
Maybe it’ll happen again one day

thoughts relate to
mind-body vessel
it is then quite natural
for thoughts to arise
so we look at them
instantly discerning
and so distinguishing
between the impulses
pertaining to our soul
versus ego cravings

as flow of life renews
constant mindfulness
holds steady awareness
that whatever may be
presence is always free
whether we indulge awhile
or whether we negate
illusions in mind manifest

Just Let It Go

She was hoping I couldn't tell her no but something deep down inside me couldn't push away the ghost
Pertaining to estranged to her lovers taste
She couldn't explain the pain it gave her just to say my name
So I chosen the moment to just let it go
If I overestimated my heart would it be prudent to suppose
Conclusions are drawn up on the words that I spoke

Memento Mori

Many years ago I've received a gift
'Tis a gift that beats any kind of tip
It helped me in my lowest to give myself a lift
'Tis something that no one else can strip

It can topple all the wealth from any kingdom
It can also help a slave to have their freedom
What am I pertaining to, one might ask
You might already have it but hidden in a cask

The love for wisdom and curiosity to learn
A skill that's innate but not easy to earn
'Tis something that everyone should yearn
But to get it one must not be aloof but stern

The only thing that can steal this gift is death itself
But this shouldn't prevent you from trying enriching one's self.
Non arcum tuum, respicite
Avus, requiescat in pace

It’s rare I find the depths to plumb;
I pen the silly and the dumb.

I don’t scream much into the void
about things with which I’m annoyed.

I cannot rage about my ex
or brag about hot hookup sex,

or angst at why the planet warms
from man-induced or cyclic norms.

I mostly leave my politics
on unwatched channels, unclicked clicks.

I do reveal how I am awed
at things pertaining to my God.

About my past, I’ll share a bit
regarding rescue from the pit.

World travel logs would be pretend;
I’d rather be right ‘round the bend.

I find I have some things to say
about my grands and how they play.

And chances are indeed remote
you haven’t read about my goat.

My Missy girl and I take walks,
imagining if she could talk.

My grandkids’ cats, their simple names,
are of renown and hero fame.

Sometimes my life seems quite mundane;
I hope to keep it all the same.

Twenty One Year Leases of Life

Twenty one years a man grows
To become a full human.
He will battle all life's woes
And must prosper if he can.

Another score and one years he grows
To be now a full grown man.
By this time his role in life he knows
And has honed his acumen.

Yet a score and one years he grows
To be fully confident.
By this time the seeds he throws
And starts to become redundant.

Twenty one more years he grows
And may display highly polished weapons
In things pertaining to mind and soul.
But he is now in expiring seasons!

He may enter another twenty one
To be a hundred and five years,
But he is now but a child of his son
And cowed by all kinds of fears!

A further lease a few may start
But like a child they often cry.
They are simply far from smart!
And in this season they'll surely die!

Six twenty one year leases of life
Is the most anyone can get!
Years are no preserve of the wise;
One needs luck and a lowly mindset!

Methuselah got plenty of leases:
Well over nine centuries of life!
It was closer to man's origins,
When man's body could long survive!

Matter of Soul

The world of matter bents awareness and duality,
pertaining to required dimensionality.
The mental loss by worship sense data rigidly,
quantitative measures conformity.
Reforming towards natural perfection,
which by some folks becomes a cruel intersection.
The desperation of religious handicap,
following blindly some holy scrap.
Little world in little hats banging the wall,
the egos cry for to save us all.
Considered distorted experiences,
as guilt persists in emotional glimpses.
Time in clockwork liberation,
past lives handicap attached to sensation.
Distinctions between reality and shadow,
consciousness attracted to divine flow.
Sufficient transformation by living,
as below or above all is given.
Poignant realization of what the soul is not,
beginnings of true certainties begot.
Faith that creates faith and inner evolution,
taken the image forth to all else exclusion.
Many individual emotions we have to difference,
group state temptation and wilderness.
The struggle out of the familiar in critical state,
steps of evolution where the future meets present.
The attractively impersonated desirable goal,
pictured reality for the timeless soul.

Premium MemberOde To Odd of Three

Three’s not the one but marks the start,
Well rounding up the winners’ chart.
It glorifies three musketeers,
It uplifts with three jolly cheers.

Three plus some – is quite entangled
Pertaining not to” love triangle” –
I dare to deem it a strange sport,
More of an acrobatic sort.

Three’s entity exudes out loud-
Two’s company, three is a crowd.
There won’t be a Valentine
Without a charm of three-word line.

It earned a cool and sharp degree -
Expanded vision of 3 D!
Not big but boisterous, no doubt
Upon three strikes the one is out.

The smallest, odd and in its prime
Deserves a title of “Sublime”.
If with such placement you agree
I’m joining in, count me three.

Neolithic stones
Majestic motions upward
Bathed in fairy prances
Ancients questioned the meaning
Of the skies above,
Many assuming they knew the truth
Pertaining to solar systems and solstices,
Those humans were created,
Along a perilous journey
That led them to Paradise
In ancient spiralling motions

I'M Fasting

Big SIGH...
Because y'all know the what,
but you have ABSOLUTELY
no concept of my why.
And, I don't have time to explain,
because... I'm FASTING!
From your misunderstandings,
and your misguided attempts to "help".
From your busy body concerns,
that would be better directed to your whelps.
It's NOT about weight loss
and, it's NOT really about food.
I'm FASTING from lack of control,
and that, Sugar is a whole mood.
I'm not here for senseless debates...
I'm FASTING.
Your trifling gossip either,
because I'm FASTING.
Your backhanded compliments?
I'm FASTING from that too.
And, if that's how you roll,
you might wanna consider
FASTING from that too, Boo.
That means...
I'm FASTING from your ,
so that I can better focus on my ....
and for me to do that,
my focus can't be split.
So, your petty mess?...
I'm FASTING.
You topping off my stress?...
I'm FASTING.
You got the "tea"?
Well.... unless it's pertaining to,
HIS grace, everlasting...
Don't bring it to me,
because chances are,
I'm FASTING.
