This poem was written by me, Laura Gail Sweeney, and published in the "Irish Giants Poetry Chapbook". This version is slightly different from the original version that was published 10 years ago. It is about the feeling one has when one finds herself near neolithic stones with spirals on them. At the time, I was travelling through Ireland.
Neolithic stones
Majestic motions upward
Bathed in fairy prances
Ancients questioned the meaning
Of the skies above,
Many assuming they knew the truth
Pertaining to solar systems and solstices,
Those humans were created,
Along a perilous journey
That led them to Paradise
In ancient spiralling motions
