It has been a long wait,
Longer but reached
The battle that enemy started
Was nailed perpendicularly
With our lovely Princess!
Long, long ago!
A dream was conventional
To quench the burning stick
Nicknamed national quizzes
But resources and timing
Kicked away our fantasy
Though struggled enough
But never fought abundantly
Here came the princess
Erisinta her name
And said Dad don’t worry!
Leave the battle on me
No army is needed
I can conquer all alone
And sent the enemy far
Quash him to death
And that is what she did
A Princess of the Royal Ng’abokwa
A single-digit score,
With lower points than all,
Leveled Chibe and Chinga
Our SPS vanity
This is the real fight,
That my soul dreamed of,
Come and celebrate,
It is our culture to party,
Start mbeta all the way
The best of our tribe dances
Bigha Chimono bigha!
For if you stop dancing
Stones and sand shall!
Glorify our God,
For he has side our fight
Don’t forget the rituals
That bound us with grace
Praise the Almighty!
For His mercy and blessings
Have showered our canopy
Dedication to my Daughter Erica. 27-01-2025

In the consuming time of day
the water of the no longer frozen pond
is again home to a family of ducks
floating quietly in the center, as if praying
at the table prior to evening’s dinner.
High above the pond, a large flock of blackbirds
zigzagged through the air…swoosh!...gone!
their leaders guiding them to new adventures.
At the horizon, the golden setting sun
savors his last look before exiting the day.
Through gentle off-white clouds, warm rays
beamed down on the ghostly roadside forest,
silhouetting naked arms of trees raised in the sky;
awaiting the resurrection of their assured greenings.
In the middle of the forest, a strange tree peeks out;
its white blossoms reflecting those of my head.
The changing consuming time has indeed blessed us both
in being perpendicularly rooted in this scene’s surreal beauty.
With a smile creeping across my face,
a prayer of thanksgiving flowed from my heart
to the heavens above: Amen...Amen…Amen…
This has been another day of being free
from harm; free from causing harm.

I decide not to worry about the parallelness
Of the tangents to the circles of our life story
The equation of the curve of my initial decision
Of you being my number tan45 was differentiated
As the union of your sets and conditions of your answers
Of your reply did not intersect with the tangent of the circle of my love
I integrated my mind and heart
So as to eliminate your love
But eliminating substituted the simultaneous equation involving you and I
Using completing two squares in solving the quadratic equation
Involving you was impossible
The almighty formula came into sight
When you factorized the algebra of you mind and heart
Making the line of your evergreen heart
Intersect perpendicularly at the center
Of the diameter of my life journey
You have rotated my life 180degrees clockwise
