When percentages come out to play,
And numbers that are more factual indoors stay,
We would be fools not to turn away,
And for an even contest pray,
Or risk becoming the fool that is played this day,
And every other day,
That numbers are kept off the field of play,
By those not adverse to unfair play.
When a man has a 1% chance of living,
When shot between the eyes and lives,
Two things spring to mind,
Two things stand out,
One from out of this world,
One from within this world,
Both give hope,
Both give pause for thought,
When it comes to use of percentages as a guide,
When it comes to when to not use them as a guide.
Whether you believe answers come from out of this world,
Whether you believe answers come from within this world,
Playing the percentages game can cloud ones judgement,
Playing the percentages game can cost lives,
If in playing it you lose hope,
If in playing it, you throw in the towel too soon.
Percentages
By: Miracle Man
12/4/2018
I had an eight percent chance that I’d survive,
Now, approaching two years hence I remain alive.
God didn’t use percentages that New Year’s Day,
He remained in charge and had things His way.
In the choice of surgeon’s, I didn’t have a voice,
A last minute change, a sub, became God’s choice.
It was part of God’s plan that man couldn’t see,
But in ensuing days this Doctor prayed for me.
To hospital staff, I became a witness, to some,
They sensed God’s power had changed the outcome.
My Cardiologist called me Lazarus, others, miracle man,
Today I’m alive because I’m part of God’s plan.

You think it will rain today?
No, barely "47%" chance
Quotation from Mitt Romney in 2012 Presidential race. Picked number 1 quote of 1012 by Yale
90% of humanity disgusts me
The other 10% I shall never get to thank
Beneath contempt and not worth loathing
The 90% I rank
Absolutely numb at the levels my species can sink
A time for nuclear cleansing
Is worth the effort, I think
Be done with it already
Our species is done
We’ve gone to the depths of depravity
There’s nowhere else to run
Give the world to the animals
Let them have their shot
We have proven over and over
That intelligence
We have not
We still kill
We still pollute
We still lie, cheat and steal
We still devour the world
And do it all with such zeal
We thumb our nose at religion
And believe it doesn’t matter
We gorge ourselves on evil
And let our greed get fatter
I shake my head everyday
And wonder why it’s allowed to continue
I’m afraid of one day
Where I will no longer care
Where the stories of horrific tragedies
Will become easy to bear
I want to leave this world
The way I arrived
Innocent
But sometimes I fear
I might become part of the 90%
Keep the Faith and keep strong
For in this world it’s too easy
To go wrong
