What I Gave

7/2/14

When he was in need,
I gave him money,
When he was in need,
I gave him help,
When he was in need,
I gave him strength,
When he was in need,
I let him lean on me.
And now that he's up- on his own two feet,
It sticks out to me that he was a cheat.
But, my conscious is clear,
I've nothing to fear.
If I was a test from GOD up above,
I've passed with flying colors,
For if that man I'd left alone,
He could be dead- cold as stone.
For GOD could've sent me that Angel,
Hidden in that man, for me to find,
And that's how I'm here this day- though since that time,
I've been blind, yet I stick by what i gave that day...

Firefighter

She became a firefighter at a very young age
Passed with flying colors at every stage
Determined to follow the footsteps of her family
That is the dream that she did see.
She built up her body like any man
But had the gentlest hands.
The kindest heart that anyone would know
And that was something that she did show.
She would put the person on her back
Looking forward and would never slack
Her goal was to save all the lives she can
That was her goal, that was her plan.
And every time she looked at her children
As a mother would often do- and see the pride in their eyes
And in the faces of the lives she saved and prevented
Them from going to an early grave.
Then she would know that the choice she made
To be a firefighter would take her spirits so much higher.
So to the firefighters I salute you one and all
So stand proud, stand tall.

Myself Inside.

Why?
Why do I have to,
Kill myself,
Mentally, and
Emotionally.
Just to be around her,
I must do this,
so I won't Screw up.

Do the Sins of the father
really go to the son?
And if then to one brother,
would it go to the next?
Adam and Eve both failed,
but a third Perfect being,
Jesus passed with flying colors.
Would I pass or fail
if the Choice was mine?

Oh I wish I could tell you,
but I know its not time.
Oh I wish you could see
the Real me,
before I kill myself inside.
I know you might love me,
but I gotta stop hating myself.

But when you see the real me,
you will know one thing.
Its only, Na-tur-al.

I Am the Rose

I am the rose
i fall to my knees
I am the rose
you violate me

If life is just a stage
and we are all meaningless actors
I'll add that to my list of complaints
and we can write another chapter.

If life's just a journey
and we're approaching the end
then we'll just say
I've been too busy counting blessings
and asking questions

I am the rose
I fall to my knees
I am the rose
you violate me

If life's just a dream
don't wake me from this coma
to the whispers
if life's just a test
we'll just say i passed with flying colors
like the rest of them dead souls

I am the rose
I fall to my knees
I am the rose
You violate me
