What I Gave

7/2/14

When he was in need,
I gave him money,
When he was in need,
I gave him help,
When he was in need,
I gave him strength,
When he was in need,
I let him lean on me.
And now that he's up- on his own two feet,
It sticks out to me that he was a cheat.
But, my conscious is clear,
I've nothing to fear.
If I was a test from GOD up above,
I've passed with flying colors,
For if that man I'd left alone,
He could be dead- cold as stone.
For GOD could've sent me that Angel,
Hidden in that man, for me to find,
And that's how I'm here this day- though since that time,
I've been blind, yet I stick by what i gave that day...
