I Am the Rose

I am the rose
i fall to my knees
I am the rose
you violate me

If life is just a stage
and we are all meaningless actors
I'll add that to my list of complaints
and we can write another chapter.

If life's just a journey
and we're approaching the end
then we'll just say
I've been too busy counting blessings
and asking questions

I am the rose
I fall to my knees
I am the rose
you violate me

If life's just a dream
don't wake me from this coma
to the whispers
if life's just a test
we'll just say i passed with flying colors
like the rest of them dead souls

I am the rose
I fall to my knees
I am the rose
You violate me
