Claude Monet painting

I am devastated, dumbfounded, dismayed,
These people are so stupid, or crazy,
They threw some hot soup
On a painting by Claude Monet,
These people are ridiculous, wicked,
Who will listen to them? Not me,
How can you believe what they say?
They destroy immortal works,
These people are so stupid, or crazy,
No one will defend their cause,
They’re like child killers
Who come to talk to us about God.

Je suis catastrophé, médusé, atterré,
Ces gens sont si idiots, ou fous,
Ils ont jeté de la soupe chaude
Sur une toile de Claude Monet,
Ces gens sont ridicules, méchants,
Qui voudra les écouter ? Pas moi,
Comment croire ce qu’ils disent ?
Ils saccagent des œuvres immortelles,
Ces gens sont si idiots, ou fous,
Personne ne défendra leur cause,
Ils sont comme des tueurs d’enfant
Qui viennent nous parler de Dieu.

Magpies Comunicate With the Dead

Do magpies communicate with the dead?
It is not uncommon to see magpies in a cemetery
Silent and calm, watch over the graves,
The flowery tombs and the so dogmatic crosses

I often see them in cemeteries thinking,
As if to speak to those who are underground,
They go on a tree, listening to the graves
In a silence that makes all hearts vibrate.

I see them so often with one eye caressing the crosses,
On a green trellis or in an antique pergola,
With the dead, hours they communicate
As to bring them, pious comfort in the afterlife.

A appri à parler
Jamais besoin de voir
Pour toujours y croire
Miraculeux
Nous sommes parmis eux
Famille du Saint Esprit
Nous sommes avec lui
Nos coeurs réjoui
Au début j'y suis
Amour de paix
Sans regret
La gande aventure
Le Bon Dieu nous assure

Should Have Seen the Scholar

Should Have Seen the Scholar

You should have seen the bright scholar;
In first class each did learn how to holler;
Raise  their hand;
Answers demand;
Also, how to play pinocchle in the parler.

Sorority, Fraternity, Maternity, Paternity
and Viscosity

Write a poem using those words.

Flirting With French

I flirted with French
For one full year.
Now, after so many years,
All that I could remember is:
Je ne peux pas parler Français!

Alone

habitues toi mon enfant
Contrairement a ta joie

I Love You No Matter What

Pentecost (As Simon Peter)

Ecstatically, I will elaborate.
Not knowing Joel’s visions you suppose
That we are drunk this morn. Don’t be enticed.
Evaluate... wine does not cause this trait.
Commitment to this cause that overthrows
Our roaring lion leads us on. As Christ
So sacrificed for us, we imitate.
Two seven two two octal bits in rows.

Notes on "Pentecost":

The first line starts out in French (English translation = "Speaking in other
languages") and ends in German (English = "in God, the Spirit").

In the last line, the 4 octal numbers (when broken down to binary) have a
sequence of 1’s that form a Roman cross, i.e.

2 =   0 1 0
7 =   1 1 1
2 =   0 1 0
2 =   0 1 0

This was inspired 'picture-message' that was beamed into space by the Arecibo
radio telescope in 1974, with the idea that mathematics would be the ultimate
language.
