Never give advice to a sad person
It will only be considered as a wind
Give them spirit so they can smile
And cure their disappointment.
The enjoyment of life is not only in money
The real enjoyment of life is the breath
That we receive this gift from God
That we always exhale every second.
In my dictionary tiredness is a normal thing
There are many things that I must fight for
The pain in life is normal to make us strong
That will always grow to make us survive.
Your true attitude will show when storm hits you
You'll be like a dandelion all pappus will be gone
What remain is the anther standing facing the wind
What remain seen with you is your good character.

New years old wishes are
the dandelion fluffs of my life’s springtime.
I blew wistfully on a pappus; its many feathered seeds
wafted – weightless as whispers – in the wind.
To where they flew, I do not know.
Very few of them found their way
into any of my own new years yet to come.
Did they scatter out into a Dreamland,
to manifest themselves in the lives of others
of whom I sometimes felt a bit envious?
I imagine the tiny dandelion parachutes
of others’ longings as having lifted and then
drifted unexpectedly into some of my better new years.
They had not been my specific wishes; nevertheless,
they were gracious seedlings of yearnings
that planted themselves and grew to bless my life.
I stopped blowing on candles or dandelion fluff
many many years ago. Hardly any wants -new or old -
do I wish for any more. Life is what it is.
In any new year, I will take what floats my way.

I see dandelion
Rock gently by the wind blows
Each pappus drifting.

we ...
are strands ...
they, a strumming, resonant -
notes of an ambrosial
strain that tickles the tympans of
life and enlightenment ...
they are thistle on the breath of spring,
pappus of a bloom, passionate,
set for naught but fruitful
purchase -
ideality, their roots ...
tender tendrils wrapped 'round
dreams that know
no waking ...
seeds and songs let loose
from our hearts' deepest chambers,
with a boundless hope,
and an ache ...
unyielding.

The dandelion, a broad-leaf perennial,
life with very distinct stages.
Don’t confuse it with a biennial
cause this plant has five changes.
Seedlings made of yellowish leaves
form a basal rosette, oval in shape.
And as it ages the oval achieves
a very different kind of fate.
As the plant begins to mature,
the leaves transform with edges.
They are toothed and jagged for sure.
Come watch as it progresses.
Once the plant is mature enough,
it sits flat on the ground.
I know you’re waiting for the puff,
but it is nowhere to be found.
The roots are thick and strong,
and now it’s time for her to flower.
She stands tall with stem so long,
and a yellow flower will tower.
The fruit will form inside the yellow,
and is brown and yet quite small.
This is an elongated oval fellow,
with pappus white hairs overall.
So that’s the stages of her life,
the dandelion, a changing girl.
You waited patiently through all five,
so blow real hard and watch ‘em whirl!

Cousin of the daisy, and born on summer's breeze,
It becomes a bright seedling of pale, green leaves.
In sunshine, it grows, as its edges become jagged,
Like a shooting star whose course goes zig-zagged!
Maturity brings longer leaves that spread around,
And milky roots that sink deeply into the ground.
When by some mystery calendar, at uncertain hour,
A lovely, yellow bloom captures you in its power!
The flower at last becomes a small, brown fruit,
For another generation is in summertime pursuit;
And the pappus disperses new seeds to the breeze,
To grow in foreign meadows and sunlit valleys!

I'm known to most as Dandelion.
Love me or hate me, I'm just fine!
My seedlings sprout- pale leaves incline
to grow a long, dark-toothed design.
As they enlarge, spread on the ground-
(so good for salads, some have found),
a rosette forms from leaves rewound;
mature plant now- soon to be crowned.
Atop my stem, which shoots up tall,
twelve inches, max- no leaves at all,
comes crowning glory (some appall),
bright, yellow flower, I install!
Within my crown, brown fruit will grow;
thin oval and extension, go
inside my pappus, soon to show
white fluffy hairs, assigned to blow.
And now the part, (some hate the most),
from fruit to seed, hairs leave this host;
by wind or friction, hundreds coast-
plant on your lawns! (I smile and boast!).
