Walking to Rome

Walking to Rome

On my way to Rome, I walked with a group
of Jews who had left Israel because it had
become a racist state
The Jews were a group of young men and
women on their way to Rome to seek an
audience with the Papa to ask him to take
a stance against the orgy of brutality
against the Palestinians
Their goal was the creation of a Palestine
They, as Jews, could be a part of a new future
I listened to their ideology, and they were
Young enough believed in the shared dream
I knew that, should they see the P, he would
be nice to them and speak in a measured
voice, because the Papacy was a political
too, and nothing must upset the balance
I don't know if they got an audience with the pope
But I learned something vital, I had tended
to speak about the Jews in a negative form
and didn't see the difference between Zionism and Jews
As for me, I met a wonderful woman at Travessa
de Santa Maria and had a splendid time

Premium MemberThe Pope and the Papacy

The Pope is
 the Bishop of Rome
is the Vicar of Father Christ (Jesus) on earth
The visible Head of the Church
Successor of St. Peter
The supreme ruler of all Christians
He is the supreme judge in all matters of faith
Morals
In pronouncing upon which he may exercise unerring
His office is called the pontificate (or papacy)
As possessor of the keys to the kingdom of heaven
Gifted with unerring or certainty
The Pope keeps the doctrine of the faith pure
Acts as the center of unity in the Church
His office is a royal one
As represented by the triple tiara traditionally worn by the popes

Premium MemberDuties of the Pope

In addition in relating to submission
Obedience
Catholics are bound to support the Pope with our prayers
Also with financial contributions as appropriate
It is good to remember that the fervent prayers of the Church were being offered for St. Peter
The first Pope
While he was bound in chains before his subsequent rescue by an angel
The papacy can be a great burden to the Pope and we should support him daily with our prayers

Premium MemberReasons Why the Catholic Church Have a Pope

The Catholic Church has a Pope because the papacy was instituted by our Lord Father Christ (Jesus)
The Pope is the visible head of the Church and has supreme authority to preserve doctrine
To teach
To sanctify
The Pope protects dogma and keeps us united in faith
If not for the papal unerring
There would be no certainty in matters of faith
We would have no means of knowing what is true and what is not
We could have no finality of doctrine
Each person would be left to believe whatever he or she "felt" was right
As a result
There would be error
 Disunity
Rejection of truths
Adoption of errors etc
We wouldn't even have a Bible since there would be no unerring authority to determine the canon of Scripture
We could never be sure that our beliefs corresponded with truth
We could never be sure we were on a true path leading to salvation
Furthermore
Without the Pope
There would be no preserver of doctrine
No center of unity
No supreme authority visible on earth
The Church was literally founded by our Lord on the "rock" of St. Peter
Without this foundation
The entire structure would fall

Just Stand

"Anything is possible through Christ who strengthens me" He walked the plank for me he did it thankfully and to the ranks who bleed you have my envy for your strength you see!
I ask myself, am I running from the papacy I'd do it greatfully for all the blood that shed tred luckily trust me no one's ducking me
All I can breathe is the moment I rise up in all my armor like come F with me

STANZA III
The idea's to pluck the chicken naked dead
But to keep it alive so long as there's fun
Stick pins and needles all the time on its head
So that when the COQ crows you know the bird's done
Was Marquis de Sade Torquemada's agent
The Socialist Mayor now out on tangent
Wishing spindle glass tower turns ivory
To keep him in power sans democracy
Get henchmen to preach comeuppance damnation
Tighten screws on chicken spit sans clemency
Now that lame bird can't fly away sans nation

ENVOI
Vain Socialist pique harks back to idiocy
Lax morals sport with intellect's papacy
Skinned and spiked chicken calls for condemnation
Do Napoléons fear Waterloo or Holy See
Now that lame bird can't fly away sans nation

Priest John Wall

Intellectually distinguished
master of novices –
priest loyal to the papacy,
after the Reformation rift.

He went from one catholic family
to another –
by spies denounced
and arrested.

Convicted of treason and executed
for his links to the Holy See.
He was a catholic priest,
so his links were, as they should be.

Country which murders innocent people,
how long can you stand,
before corrupted you fall?
Nation – such terror you withstand?

A Tiny Tide He Was

Slipping from this flesh it's bones as blood
Nothing and nobody His child, within her world
Of glamour, glitter, super stars and fame; power games
Ancient gladiators their off spring these red carpet queens ivory table
Kings vote for me ? Phantasmagoria's, kaleidoscopic dreams Pluto's papacy
Pandora's pallbearers trip wire caskets bring it on, krimson kong: lightning strikes....
The blink of an eye; crumbling towers with your power black roses bloom in blue carousel pews.

The Pope Resigns

Pope Benedict will leave his post,
A move unprecedented.
This news has come as quite a shock
To those he represented.

The Pope before him to step down,
From info I could glean,
Was Gregory XII, who left
In – yes! – 1415!

No wonder headlines blast this news,
For even laymen’s ears
Must hear how jolting this must seem –
It’s been six hundred years!

The Church will locate someone new
By searching ‘round the globe;
And surely they will find the man
Deserving of that robe.

Yet even though his subjects bow
And kiss his Papal ring,
I think that being Pope must be
The world’s most stressful thing.

The problems in the Papacy
With which a Pope must cope,
Seem so colossal, candidates,
When asked, should just say “Nope!”
