Attached to outcomes, ego opaques light,
radiance of our true Self, veiled by mind,
demons of darkness, shrouding heart’s delight,
thought tentacles gripping us in their bind.

As both tormentor and the tormented,
being both the subject and the object,
we inhaled fragrance of love, bliss scented,
causing boundless rapture to rise unchecked.

Waking up in the dream by slowing thought,
with ego exhumed, bliss beats soon resumed,
whence soul imbibed love and light as it ought,
whereupon at our core, heart lotus bloomed.

Thought cessation, path to heart’s elation ~
In time stretched peace, is our meditation

Premium MemberDrop thought ego begot

Prone to weigh and size,
we stifle surprise,
of bliss magnetism,
in body-mind prism.

Thought opaques soul’s light,
a blockage, our blight,
which when we release,
life flows on with ease.

Watch how dreams unfold,
as stories retold,
in which love’s bliss squall
melds us with the all.

If we be but still,
voids in heart will fill,
revealing God is
light and love’s bliss fizz.

Feeling not thinking,
focus unblinking,
obtaining clear sight,
we behold His light.

Premium MemberField of forgiveness

belied expectations
caused feeling of hurt
inability to let go
made resentment spurt

the earth rotated
and seasons changed
but the ego-mind
remained deranged

reinforced by thought
suffering amplified
soul’s light within heart
seemed to have died

the witch doctor
offered a cure
choose cessation
and make heart pure

stagnation is death
flow like the breeze
sensations any
embrace and release

what causes shadows
that opaques light
ego is the blockage
which diminishes delight

first forgiveness
a Ho’oponopono prayer
then acceptance
spake the soothsayer

the bubble of anger
burst noiselessly in the void
soul’s light was revealed
pure and unalloyed

Premium MemberMusings on death

what is born must die …
this we know but do not accept
in as embrace with vibrant nonchalance ~
no, let us admit it fellow souls
we are in truth truly afraid

we have seen birds in mourning …
majestic lions tear eyed when grieving
rain drops falling when skies are weeping

one by one fangs of death have wrenched away
family and friends who made us feel complete
we too will die, who then are we, we wonder

scriptures and fables offer not the taste
direct knowing of death that erases doubt
to imbibe truth we enter time dissolved silence
animating attention in the bardo of formlessness
soul’s eye then beholds dead leaf of ego drop away

reflect oh hermit, do we not die with each exhalation
at our core we know the next breath’s not promised
sleep is death yet we look forward to it each night
is not death then just waking up from this dream
why oh why do we cling to ephemeral illusions

shrugging off death of form ~ death yet pursues
we die when voice of conscience is subdued
when lust, rage and envy are fires we fan
or a girl child is abandoned at the orphanage
we die whenever ego opaques the light of our soul

"O blessed Java Sparrows mostly, the rare Opals then the plentiful Greys--palm frond squatters, and the ever so oft, Mejiro birds, a.k.a., the "Japanese White-Eyed," chartreuse bodied against the legendary red Lehua blossoms of the Ohia tree," ... by the Poet's House

Negligible motions, Java Sparrows,
haiku artisan, deep in thought, attends,
dawn break wings flapped--an idea narrows,
wake unassumed thoughtless emptied pretends.

Shelved packaged bird seeds feignedly addressed,
bird tray absence spilt seeds stretch, preached as well,
slight spread outwards, fashioned spawning impressed,
near and far, Meijiro's numbered midst swell.

Shunned Java Sparrows, aimless namesakes,
Meijiro's not pleased, their own--true Zero,
starved be-trayed craftsman sentiments opaques,
overburdened, labored--the birds, ditto!

Food fills the starving, and water quench thirst,
pleased chirps harmonize--receptive mind, versed.

Be You

Do you look at the sky
when it precipitates?
The originally watery form
is the real you.
Transparent and clear
While that cloudy frosty form,
when you are down,
opaques your identity.
The obsession
of considering others superior,
alienating yourself
blinds you
from appreciating the reality.
Remember
It's the rainbow
which adds colours to the sky
more commonly
not a snowbow

Premium MemberThe Becoming

Delusion opaques the light,
that’s within us shining bright.
In darkness too, love’s the way,
that takes us home, as we pray.

Distanced from thoughts eccentric,
choosing to be heart centric,
in timeless time, bliss throbs rise,
imbibed in childlike surprise.

Reborn here now, in the flesh,
cleanses sin and our anguish,
revealing that who we are,
luminous, like yonder star.

Cavernous rooms bellow
        tomorrow's departure
        Void pools desperation

        Mangled clothes, makeshift pillows
My hair collapses on your coat-hanger chest
        Its curtain opaques trepidation

        Foot worn wool fuzz carpet
        Absorbs awaiting absence
        Limb clinging disturbs fibres

        Summoning static air
        Captured, our fraught
        obtains courage

One Roseate Portrait of Your Smile

Was e’er a moment held so calm,
To dull and silhouette our lives,
Like Tithoneus weeping with the dawn,
Should find Elysium in those eyes

Uncloth’d, my mind in tearful thoughts concedes,
A vision of thee ‘neath the moon,
I gently press my will toward thee,
And ever vex my soul with you

Yea! Thy beauty finds me vex’d,
As tho’ some poet never told,
With words, yet eloquently breath’d,
Of all the wonders that ye hold

One roseate portrait of your smile,
Like an opera well rehears’d,
Sets this savage soul on fire,
And bids me as the desert thirst

My passions know no other bounds,
Like silhouettes these words confine,
My soul, one tear opaques me now,
And births an opera in my mind

One vision how the Nile runs,
Strange goddess to this tear,
In other moments melts the sun,
And then thy beauty with the night appears!

Apothean's, Midnight Winters Recital

Beneath this sordid stanza's, storm swept night such, eroglyphics ?
Frost upon his warping, window panes; oozing opaques, of blood red crimson's
Bleeding from these burnt sashes crying ashes; screaming amid the rain, Do you really
Know pain while shadows be her world and they all, but turn away ? Rotting
Flesh for the pellucid pelicans; thus decayed, as countless loved ones they wept
Deep inside she weeps ? Chasing off their waiting vultures, these; petrified spirits....
Sown beyound time's wailing trees; ethnologies exogenous, transluciating tumorous roaring
Latex lions cataclysmic lightning fables now colliding; the craving sea ? Apothean's, midnight winters recital.

Apotheans Midnight Winters Recital

Beneath this sordid stanzas storm swept night

Such eroglyphics; frost upon the warping window panes

Oozing opaques of blood red crimson, bleeding from burnt sashes

Crying ashes, screaming amid the rain....

"Do you really know pain," they asked

As the shadows of this world, did all but turn away

Rotting, flesh for the pellucid pelicans; thus decayed

While the countless loved ones wept; deep inside they weep

Chasing off the waiting vultures these

Petrified spirits, sown beyond the wailings trees....

Ethnologies exogenous, transluciating tumorous roarings; latex

Cataclysmic lightning of fables, now colliding, with the craving sea ~
