Rope is not the snake
It’s high time we cease,
praying to appease;
far cry from the truth,
we must seek forsooth.
When love’s our flagship,
no oneupmanship
contortions surface,
knowing all is grace.
Sunlight falls on all,
as does the bliss squall ~
simply enable,
rather than label.
God in-dwells within,
so let’s go therein,
without any crutch,
knowing Him by touch.

What avail debate, if friendships are lost ~
Puerile oneupmanship pays a high cost

Flimsy fig leaf camouflage,
subterfuge reveals montage,
mind games at play everyday,
as conscience to rest we lay.
Enacting oneupmanship,
demons of mind we worship,
anchored in hypnotic trance,
enticed by dark desire’s dance.
Engaging in acts feral,
we find our soul’s in peril,
yet we wear the fig leaf mask,
making weary earth life task.
Naked one day before God,
our lower mind’s overawed,
for the web of deceit spun,
needs by us, to be undone.
By our hand, committed theft,
we find ourselves love bereft,
thus reincarnate again,
to erase our soul’s dark stain.
Harking to the divine call,
seeds of love sown, we stand tall,
same inside out, transparent,
vibrant in the bliss current.

There is this subtle, lingering feeling
of lack, wherein our heart feels incomplete,
with consciousness contraction persisting,
far cry from our vibrancy bliss replete,
as we observe our joyfulness deplete,
until we choose to reject ownership
of ego spawned thoughts of oneupmanship,
shifting attention into staid silence,
head and heart aligned, with pulse of oneness,
reclaiming thus our childlike innocence.

Rabid desires, blamed on testosterone;
vicious thoughts, in games of oneupmanship,
fuelling passions, turning heart to stone,
remorselessly tighten on soul their grip,
oblivious to tears that slowly drip.
The face in the mirror loses lustre,
resembling now, a demonic creature,
deadened to soft, subtle voice of conscience,
man of the world, in truth a predator,
forging with evil, shaky alliance.

It being crystal clear
we self block the divine current
owing to hidden fear
thus insentient to the love scent
The limitation in peaked fullness
of the divine electricity
owing to in-form energy conduits
constrained by identity
Surrender conditional
attempting steering by doership
as long as mind active
our ego spirals in oneupmanship
Whilst flowing in a calm tranquil
self aware awareness
vaporising into the heart spacial
in a sea of blissfulness
Time & tide do flow on
as we are reshaped on the anvil
we rest in staid silence
surrendering residual egoic will

Politicians

Politicians are so adept,
at the parsing of speech.
Due to this flawed thinking,
there’s a vast party breech.
Their association with lobbyist,
is shielded from sight.
Becoming a perk of the job,
to have palms greased at night.
Oneupmanship now prevails,
and most seek a head start.
But citizens won’t be served,
until compromise plays a part.
But once elected to office,
their egos make them kings.
They view their supporters,
as mere ignorant underlings.
The bamboo wind chimes sing wind's song
Blue-gray clouds almost drip
Yet the Tulip Treee sends forth blooms
Will cold do oneupmanship?
Out on the porch damp and too cold
Still winter but blooms show
In limbo thoughts and deep feelings
Waiting spring's overthrow
Out the kitchen window its gray
Only brightened by birds
They come in colors red and blue
Beauty in other words
How I'm thankful for their flutter
For when the rain starts_gone
They'll hide in some dry secret place
And give me denouement
