Overthrow

The bamboo wind chimes sing wind's song
Blue-gray clouds almost drip
Yet the Tulip Treee sends forth blooms
Will cold do oneupmanship?

Out on the porch damp and too cold
Still winter but blooms show
In limbo thoughts and deep feelings
Waiting spring's overthrow

Out the kitchen window its gray
Only brightened by birds
They come in colors red and blue
Beauty in other words

How I'm thankful for their flutter
For when the rain starts_gone
They'll hide in some dry secret place
And give me denouement

Beautiful scenario of winter very well painted. A contrast of the 'Winter Be Gone' Contest of Frankline Roberts. Most admirable write. -Mohammad

i wrote a poem with this in mind. hot cold hot cold. and i thought a prophetic vision of an earth quake. a big one. when Hannibal had to take the elephants over the mountians, to move the rocks to big to move they had to break them by making them hot and then cold. this weather may break a plate.

This is quite the beautiful and enlightening write my friend! I truly loved reading this harmonious poem, with birds and all! I enjoyed this piece with all its coldness and rain and grey skies, and how they eventually all brighten up and become gorgeous! Great Work!!
