Our puppy has been as wild as a starched mare
jumping and running, leaping over furniture
Licking the veterinarian in the face
wagging his ass and fluffy tail in the mouth of his assistant
He gets nutsy-Krutsy when we have company
Our last name is Krutsinger, so we can use nutsy-Krutsy
We understand what it means better than most
What game is it? Squishy asked Tough Todd.
Tough Todd gave him a hate look, barely a nod.
It’s Poker! Hissed Nutsy, here is your hand.
Squishy could hear a loud Mariachi band.
Where is that band? He asked and got shushed by seven.
Talk again during the game, and we’ll send you to heaven!
He did not know they were so serious about their cards.
He threw his hand on the table and ran to join the go-lucky bards.
Wild Birds and Nutsy
There still is beauty in the lengthy life,
Tho no longer glamorous corporate strife,
Grief and relief fall on first lonely days,
Staring outside at the wild life at play.
Beginning to guess what is that bird song?
What is that harsh screech that doesn’t belong?
The swish of a tail and the bark of a squirrel,
Capture the mind to find a new-found world.
Waking up walking in a wild feed store,
Buying seed, talking needs unknown before,
Naming each bird and “Nutsy” the new pest.
Challenges the same as those old ones now rest.
When wild life becomes a new family,
You’re hooked, they’ve won you, addicted, you’re free.
Dream on
Be it white rabbit holes of wonderlands
Or black holes of never-here flounder lands ,
Dreaming on and on
Vaunted webs they spawn
In this ‘ uni-verse’ that ever expands*.
Expanding like vapor, fluff and free verse
In eccentric quest, new frontiers traverse
Dreamlands roaming
Ideas beaming
Procreating, creating things diverse.
Diverse, like what is extant, are all stuff
From the nutsy-feverish heads of buffs
Their ways are damn strange
Their worlds like deranged
Salt of earth, they are, above all rebuff.
Kneading up, weeding and leading the earth
Right , left or centre , ever, two cents worth
Although they grandstand
And get praised or panned
Of their wisdom, world should not be in dearth.
*Science tells that the universe keeps on expanding by itself.
Black hole is a region in space- time whose gravity field is too strong for anything including light to escape from it.
