He was a man of notoriety,
A maker of the law.
He was known for his piety,
A crusader for the poor.
He went about his daily tasks,
With forthright regard.
In his job wore many masks,
Never found it hard.
Often in the news,
For his very good deeds.
This would often amuse,
Those with certain needs.
The ones that did work for him,
Till the job was done they stayed.
But now know chances are slim,
Of them ever getting paid.
He was a man of notoriety,
A maker of his own law.
He was known for his piety,
Had a way of making workers poor.
I have been thinking about
And in the end started to shout
“This is my private thought!”
My mind wanted and sought
Then caught
Deciding suddenly to halt
Realizing something was at fault
After swimming in the fantasy pool
Visions teasing and cool
A dream filled with images black and white ending in color
Romantic stimulating coupled with a lover
Could I have reached a goal?
Turning nothing into gold
Or was this a pending nightmare
Ready for a scare
Secured having everything
Treated like a theatrical king
Due to the way I sing
Suddenly I wake
Feeling like something went into me like a stake
Reporter reported I was a fake
Retreated to my Momma’s home
Sat there with pie all alone
Not answering texts on the cell phone
This is what I am thinking about
Fame game I needed to get out
So, they ate me alive
Knowing I am just an entertaining Idol taking a dive
Called a honey in the hive
With talent and buzz
World knowing who I was
For a second minute or hour
I was a pop star celebrity with power

Political Anxiety and Notoriety

Notoriety for Variety of Anxiety
Often vague may be a large variety,
Of people known for their notoriety,
And ego showing;
Always growing;
Did result in discomfort and anxiety.
We may at times be attacked by anxiety.
Faith in God will always remove all of it.

What’s the point of fame
When only death will guarantee it?
Killers wanting notoriety
Won’t get to see it.
Pulling triggers isn’t hard
And only calls attention
To the fact that murderers,
Not worthy of a mention,
Believe that just one massacre
Will grab the public’s eye;
And here we are, to prove the point,
All wanting to know why.
The reason, though, is obvious –
A crazy, desperate plea
To anyone and everyone,
Imploring, “Look at me!”
The problem with that rationale
Is who’d want to be known
For such a heinous act
That not one person would condone?
For one who feels invisible,
I guess that recognition
Could only be achieved
With firearms and ammunition.
And so we mourn and grant renown
To he who caused our grief;
But knowing that he took his life
Won’t give us much relief.
Notoriety
Limericks are notoriously hard to do
They have to be ribald but clean too
I tried as I might
To get one just right
Notoriety may come now from you
Cancer is a tricky performer,
like a demon it takes possession of
peoples' bodies, with lots of melodrama,
whether or not they are ready,
the Cancer is prepared to start a relationship,
by declaring it's going steady with whomever
it chooses,
to a normal unsuspecting person,
It becomes a doozie,
It turns its patients into shell of themselves,
unrecognizeable, after bouts of hell,
Sometimes hard for family members to tell,
nothing short of an excorcism
can make Cancer lose its vigor and vim,
Cancer gains notoriety through all the tests
and research,
being lauded in Great Halls and Churches
Then suddenly a star emerges,
Sometimes we forget that the patient deserves
some credit,
but Cancer doesn't like to share the limelight,
or welcomes edits,
It wants to be El Numero Uno,
the defining stick of dynamite,
rocking its victims' world
until it is stirred and shaken,
Finally declaring victory when its
victims never awaken.
