Neutralise Poems | Examples

Is this immoral to you or am I just too excited?

JULY 2023

Hazy, Rampant, Hammering
Foggy-headed, I must be lazy enough to put just the right effort in.
It drips down and stains the pore.
My disease is acidic, fatal,
And the way that your alkali sense draws me in ...
How I'd beg to neutralise once more.
But the ants won't push against my unmoving tyres.
And anywho, isn't this against your morals?

Vivid, Violent, restless still
I'm floating away, I'm just really not lazy enough to notice it.
I'm ruining your favourite dress,
Your uniform for every non-uniform event.
Please don't let me soak you.
Please disappoint me again. Or you could prove there's no shame,
Because either way, at the end of my every walk, I fear that I'll be the same as my love for you when it isn't to see your uncloudy eyes,
But I'm not being lazy enough.
And I'm trying so hard to not try hard,
But I don't think it was ever really enough.

Premium Member Neon God

I do not want a neon God
Orange bright
Flourescent pink, glowing light
For all to see
In darkest night

I'd rather have
The subtle charm
With strength to hold in every arm
Or patient hope
And solid calm

I do not need
The flashy stuff on garish stage
With visuals on every page
As life rotates
Through human age

The wisdom now
To soulful dreams
Is silence it seems
That reveals
God's delicate schemes

The inner room
The heart space, clear
Where gratitude for every tear
Is soaked by love
Replacing fear

The worldly clamour
For my mind
The buzzing lights so unrefined
Revealed deception
Cruel, unkind

I neutralise
With heavenly truth
A mystery disguised to youth
Of settled soul. Of peaceful rhythm
Released control

A rhyme untainted
The ancient rule
Of beauty unpainted so old it's cool
The teacher's in...
Not classroom school

That neon fad
That tragic shouting
From soapbox square, no crumbs for birds
Meaningless pouting
Just empty words

So I resolve to dim the bright
Pull down the shade
So that there might
Be revelation by
Internal light

Combine

Combine

We should be able to
combine alkali with wood chips to
neutralise them to
star shapes.

Time For Swords and Nuclear Bombs

Time for swords by swords expired,
Guns, bombs and machine guns were introduced
To destroy innocent people massively.
Nuclear bombs are ready to burn the planet
Because of  some heartless bloody people that
value their stomachs more than humanity.

Poetic pen can be a miraculous bomb
to neutralise the power of man - made nuclear
bombs which are ready to burst on earth
And  will cause more deaths.

Premium Member Christmas 2020

Christmas 2020

No air-raid shelter turkey
No window blackout blinds
Defences have been breached, my dear
The battle's in our minds.

The season known for plenty
The wreath upon the door
That signals cautious entry
For the people we adore

And yet despite the battles
And the shadows in our minds
To neutralise this enemy we need
Thoughts of different kinds

Forget about the pressies
And standing for The Queen
Forget about the armchair snooze
And how all things have been

This Christmas will be different
It won't be filled with stuff
There won't be idle chit-chat
Or that entertainment fluff

Let's make ourselves a promise
Let loose that wartime dove.
For Christmas is relationships;
The battlefield is love

So as the siren eases
And the shelters quietly empty..
Let's value all we thought we'd lost
This Christmas 2020.

Premium Member Rejection

Rejected

Like a blackball
in the ballot box,
I lie silently
since dejected in love,
Not desirous of
breathing fresh air,
Neither wanting
any rock or roll,
Nor counting
on the kicking toll,
Unfortunate having
lost my love,

Passion denied
by destiny,
Dropped me
taking a dead fish,
Casted me away
As spoiled milk,

Send some scents
of the recent past,
That could neutralise
the sarcasm,
Else standing at middle
Of whirlpool,
drowning deep,
Rejection could be
A lethal tool,
Embrace the rejected back
To head and heart !
