flowing in waters of blue
i have no vision of memory
i look beyond my nearsightedness for miles and miles
flowing in waters of blue
i have no notice of happenings
i look beyond the obvious for hours and hours
flowing in waters of blue
i have no recollection of the current modern
i look beyond the modern current forever and ever
flowing in waters of blue
i only have thoughts of God and Creation
i look beyond the depths pf reality....i think i will now make my home here....

I waken to a rush of sound and light.
Somebody honks a horn as cars whiz past.
My friend has driven us into the night
and to a place where life is moving fast.
I sit upright so I might take it in.
The skyline is a smear of pulsing glow.
Resplendent is this blur amidst the din
of traffic. I see artwork of Van Gogh!
A starry starry night could not compare
To how this city looks when I’m half blind.
But now I grab the glasses which I wear
for my nearsightedness, which tricks my mind.
The street lights - still so bright - are right and clear
when blobs of luminescence disappear!
The scrambled word is T A R N D A I

FEARFUL FIRST STEPS
We base all our vital decisions
futures, families and employment
when in fact they represent realities
hidden futures we cannot foresee
Choosing Faith we are hesitant- uncertain
where are we going- what lies ahead?
barely understanding our first cautious steps
people linger and wait anticipating our fall
Are you afraid to live by Faith?
well--welcome to the club
be bold, forsaking nearsightedness
fearful first steps of Faith will bring accomplishment
“We live by Faith, not by sight”--2 Corinthians 5:7

(I first thing mentioned here had to be from me dreaming "awake,"
but the other two things I still swear to this day I saw them and my
sisters verify they remember me telling everyone about seeing
those things!)
A child, I woke from sleep once and surveyed,
before my very eyes, a big parade
with clowns and elephants and marching band.
It could not be a dream; it was so grand!
Then later where I lived there was a wood
behind the street of our new neighborhood.
And once while playing war games, I could swear
I saw back there a big brown grizzly bear!
It probably was thought I was a liar
the day I claimed that on the telephone wire
a toucan perched with bill bright green and red,
which no one else had seen before it fled.
It’s ages since I’ve had the chance to see
such wondrous visions where they should not be!
Nearsightedness is not my only plight.
I’ve long since lost my magic childhood sight.
