I run in circles all day long
doing a heap of chores and
getting things done
but I'll tell you what I truly find exhausting.
It's the waiting and not knowing,
it sets me back and slows me down.
It frustrates me to the bitter end.
Instead of multitasking
I end up multimasking
juggling and pretending
to be the patient person
that I'm really not.

On multitasking,
when dealing with those that can't,
they project their can't
upon your can until it becomes your can't.

Spiritual multitasking
I think therefore I think….
I am therefore I think I am.
Free me from this curse
This divine dissatisfaction
This need to be needed
Bridled by tenets and credos
Led down lost paths
Wrestling with the doubts
Of a soul
searching
for
its
self.

Get up in the wee hours
Take quick showers
Run to the kitchen
Chores I want to quicken
First of all make bed tea for all
Then give a wake up call
Now I rush to make nutrtive breakfast
For about fifteen miniutes it does last
Now left all to myself to finish the work
Which all but try to shirk
I rest a while watch t.v or a magazine
Sometimes I look for new recipe for their heart to win
Kids come in first of all for lunch
They are famished want something to munch
Then at tea time I make new new snacks
Kids love them I can hear their smacks
Then for dinner that I make light
As after this all go to bed outright
Now I'm exausted and spent
Somedays straight to bed we went
Usually we go to bed straight
Each looks for their mate.

Its hard to be the real me,
When I’m supposed to be someone else,
Its hard to smile and laugh,
When I’d rather sulk and cry.
Its hard to be the perfect daughter,
When I want to be the rebel one,
Its hard to try hard and go on,
If people keeps on pulling you down.
How can I be what I want?
When people judges me easily,
How can I be truly happy?
When I can’t even do what I want?

Where is your mind
Most of the day?
If you’re like the most of us
You cannot truly say
For your mind has
A mind of it’s own
And oft goes off
On it’s own merry way
Your body goes on autopilot
While your mind darts madly astray
It can be likened to a busy butterfly
That alights …then flits away
It keeps the body on a steady course
While nimbly venturing hither and yon
And your body (for the most part)
Never even knows
…That your mind is often gone…

He soaks thirsty flowerbeds, using his clever, self-invented
contraption—a long copper pipe with holes drilled exactly
four inches apart—and pulls weeds during breaks. I prepare
lunch, water potted plants and shepherd laundry during breaks.
But it's Friday, set aside this week for washing dirt-spattered
windows. He takes the more difficult task outside, in bright sun-
generated heat. Spring cleaning is a bit late this year--first my
surgery, then his auto accident. Now, we push to meet a dead-
line. We're expecting out-state guests. Their plane will land at
Lambert Field, tomorrow noon. They will be met with hearts
at ease, happy petunias, windows with sparkle—and a dessert
of hot apple pie with vanilla ice cream.

Women are supposedly very good at multitasking
Men are not, which allegedly is our biggest crime
But if women are truly capable of multitasking
Why can’t they have a headache and sex at the same time?
