With sparkling hair and twinkling toes
This fairy was born in November
With wings made out of gold
A cute little nose and fairy pampers on
At the fairy town dust hospital where she was born
There was a great fairy celebration
Toasting with fairy dust drinks all around
The tooth bank was empty on this day
This new baby fairy needed some milk tooth on this day
So an all fairy alert was sound
Big or small no matter the bank needed teeth
Right away
Fairy dust was issued all wings on deck was this call
Strap on your wings and fly, was the command
This November was a Calling all fairy alert
This one November was written down in all
The Fairy Tale history books
All over this fairy town

My lost childhood
Misty memories of that tender age
I wiped again those frosty panes
To peep outside the room of present times
To catch fresh breath of air standing shy behind Mom
On the day of school admission
Tall uncle selling balloons at market side-ways
Old dirt road still calls me for a ride
My father's gifted bicycle's mighty fall I suffered
Leaving scars on my arm that I hold proud
Broken milk tooth that I hid beneath the mango tree
Fountain pen's shower on siblings fight
Forms a curve picking attentively small incidents floated
Eons away from my existence
To stir the languid hours
Resketching the outlines partially blurred
The events that never really did matter
Faded are the stamps of date and time
Still the petrichor rises from the dusted moments
Pieces of life's coziest quilt
It's jumbled, tattered ,frayed corners
Renders warmth to cold being of mine

Safety in pins
Her mother bestows her with a pillow
Blooming roses in azure and red
embellished with silken threads
Edged with a
A crystalline river
Making Anuket shiver
"Just stick a pin in it
whenever you worry!"
she says casually.
A worry pillow!
In a cheerful facade
How contradictory
Rose Thinks
Still better than
Biting her tongue.
She sticks the first pin in it.
The first flaw on the pillow's
Beautiful Facade.
She pricks the pillow
with a black safety pin
When she dreams of
Fire eating dragons
She sticks another
when her milk tooth becomes wobbly
And another dent on lovely facade
of the pillow
She sticks another
in a bold colour
when kissing a boy
She sticks an orange
one in securing
her first job.
Attached to a signed contract
She sticks an organza one
at her wedding day attached to
a butterfly confetti.
At her baby girl's birth
She sticks a pink one
attached to a ribbon
The faded worry pillow
becomes her life story
Every safety pin a dot
for the map of her life.

For the tooth fairy
It can be quite scary
Taking a milk tooth then running
After putting a penny in your bed – how cunning
